Byrd Dry Wall Construction

Overall I am satisfied with the job. We had a few spots that were left unsanded but nothing particularly wrong with the work, just a few missed spots I took care of. I didn't try to contact him about them (they really weren't all that bad) He did good work on mudding and taping etc.

I was very pleased with the quality of the work.

The owner responded quickly to my email request for a quote for services. He came out to my house and looked at the ceiling and discussed putting up the drywall. He called me later and read me a detailed list of what would be done and quoted me a price of $961. We agreed on the price and a start date. The installers were right on time and installed the drywall in less than an hour. The remainder of the time one of the men spent mudding the ceiling. After he finished on the first day, I noticed several areas that were uneven and not attached securely to the old ceiling. I could move one area easily with a broom handle. I called the owner to report my findings, and he was very defensive stating they attached the drywall to the supports that we're already there. He did not offer to come look at the problem or correct them in any way. When the man who applied the mud returned the next morning, I showed him the problems, but he didn't offer to fix them either. I asked him to finish off the edges and caulk nail holes, which he did. When he finished, I asked for the bill, and was shown a blank invoice. He said the owner told him the price was $980. It is very unprofessional to not have an itemized statement for services rendered, and more unprofessional to be I responsible to complaints. Even though I prefer to use one-owner local businesses, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Great. I was rehabbing my house and wanted to put in new cielings. Called several drywall contractors. Mr. Byrd was the most responsive and had the best price. He was quick. Did some of the labor himself and had a great crew.

I recently had the opportunity to find a house that I fell in love with but was in need of many repairs and cosmetic work. I contacted Byrd Drywall Construction and Painting after they were recommended by a local business owner whom I know. Mr. Byrd came to the house at a time convenient for me to survey the work that needed to be done. He was very thorough and prompt with his estimate.
Byrd Drywall Construction and Painting was used to paint the interior and exterior of the home and made repairs to the drywall. They also installed a new bathroom vanity and laid ceramic tile in the bathroom. A deck was built and attached to the rear of the home.
We are very please with the quality of work that was done. There was much attention to detail and all was completed in a timely fashion. I was most impressed that everything was cleaned up after the job was complete and other than the beautiful work, it looked as if no one had even been there and done the extensive work that was performed.
I highly recommend Byrd Drywall Construction and Painting and will use them in the future for home improvement projects.

I spent $2200.00 on the drywall and $2000.00 on the painting. They were very fast. They did high quality work. They pretty much took care of everything from the minute I decided to go with them. I didn't really have to order the drywall or buy the paint. I just told them what I wanted and they took care of everything. We were on time. They were very quick with the drywall. The painting took longer than I had expected it to take. That was not really their fault. I didn't really tell them about my expectation for a while with getting my project done, so they ran a little bit longer than I was hoping they would be here. I wanted it to be ready before Thanksgiving. They were able to get it done, but it was right down to the wire. I would recommend them to anybody to use. I would also say that if you have a deadline, make sure to let them know your expectation and they will definitely try to accommodate it. I didn't really tell them my expectation so I can't really fault them for not meeting it.
