Customers say: True professional

"Les is a master craftsman! He designed and built beautiful cabinets in our primary bath and on our landing. He brought creativity and care and even good humor to the project. He is a joy to work with— gracious, personable and terrifically talented. The bath cabinets in particular presented problems, and Les solved those beautifully. We want him to do more in our home!"

"It was perfect! They had to replace butcher block countertops that had been incorrectly installed by another company. They came out and gave an estimate and had samples of wood to choose from and gave options for the installation on the edges, etc. They show up when they are scheduled to for all appointments and they explain what they are going to do and how to care for the counters after installation. Exceptional people to work with!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"

"Christine was the reason I hired this company. She is a true designer, and made great suggestions that none of the other companies came up with. I am very happy with the results."

"Keith Medley is an incredibly experienced contractor, having built 350 houses in his career. He was very specific in his explaining what would be done, he drew up great plans, and he was timely everyday he worked. He was methodical and meticulous in the building of my addition, even re-doing several things that looked fine to me, but wasn't up to his very high standards. He cleaned up thoroughly after each day of working, and he was patient with me as the home owner when I sometimes followed him around asking questions about the process. His work partner, Valentin; was a reliable, tireless and incredibly hard working contractor who was a pleasure to have around the house, as was Keith. These contractors made this remodel relatively painless, and for someone new to remodeling, I will now feel secure in knowing I have the name and experience with this contractor for future projects."

"It has been a month since we had our Walker Custom kitchen cabinets transformed from beautiful natural maple wood tone to absolutely stunning pure white custom cabinets. The pure white matched perfectly to our newly installed MC Granite countertops. I could have copied any of the previously posted positive reviews - because Wayne & the finished product matched all those reviews. Such as: “Wayne is a true craftsman, meticulous and knowledgeable of both the product and its application.” Wayne was excellent to work with; his in-home walk through described exactly what would take place which was a strong selling point; he took time to answer all our questions thoroughly. In 5 day’s time, we had a new kitchen at a fraction of the cost if we had replaced our cabinets. Absolutely, you must give Wayne & NHance a chance to give your kitchen & home a new look. Check out the before and after."

"I needed a door built in and framed at the bottom of stairs leading to a separate apartment. After 4 months and multiple contractors committing to, then canceling, or not showing up, I found Joe Maguire. he showed up when he said he would, he was always timely, friendly and professional. And did an outstanding job! The built-in frame and door are seamless and look like they've always been a part of the apartment. His prices are extremely reasonable, and most importantly for me he showed up when he said he would, finish the job in a timely manner, and really did good work! I've already got him lined up for some other jobs as well!"

Pre Made Cabinets questions, answered by experts

While most kitchen island installations do not require a permit, some situations do. Any major kitchen renovation will require one, and depending on your municipality, you might also need one if you install new plumbing or electrical work.

Your kitchen island installation pro will be able to determine if you need a permit for your job, which can run you between $460 and $2,900, depending on the permits required.

A medicine cabinet on its own won’t add a lot of value, but is in general considered to be a good feature to have. Since any added storage is desirable, a medicine cabinet can improve resale value some. Making your bathroom more functional is appealing to buyers if you’re looking to sell your home.

It depends on your carpentry skills and the type of cabinets you purchase. If you have a high level of skill, then it’s most likely going to cost less for you to build your own garage cabinets. It will take longer than purchasing pre-built cabinetry, but it will decrease your overall labor cost.

Installing cabinet toe kicks after installing flooring is common, as this produces a sleek, streamlined appearance along the cabinetry bases. The toe kick is a cabinetry term for the covered, recessed areas at the cabinet’s base that let you stand closer to the counter more comfortably by making room for your toes.

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.
