"Mark and his crew did a great job on several trees on our property. They were fast, efficient and did a thorough clean-up after the work. They were sensitive to our 100+ year old white oaks when climbing them. Their prices are fair and reasonable. We will definitely use them again. Martin & Sallye Fox Fairview, NC"

They handled everything safely and with great care, including cleanup—our yard looked better afterward than it did before! "Ben and his crew cut down 6 trees for me at a reasonable price. They did it quickly and cleaned up well afterwards. Ben was also very knowledgeable about trees and took the time to look at a couple that I was concerned about. He didn't push to cut them down, only gave me factual information, which made me trust him even more. I highly recommend Ben and his crew and would not hesitate to use them again."

"Jose (Royal Park Treework LLC) arrived right on time and his appearance was impeccable. I was greeted with a warm smile and a handshake. I will also add that Yvonne was really nice on the phone when I made the appointment. I had three Bradford Pear trees to be removed. While I was discussing the situation with Jose, he impressed me with his knowledge and how he explained exactly what he would do. I had looked up what price range for this type of job and his price was very fair. Jose and his team came back the same day. It was done quickly (they worked non-stop), and everything was cleaned up when they left. He even trimmed a tree that was getting overgrow-looks great. All in all, a class act, job well done! I plan on hiring him again later this year to do stump grinding and next Spring when I will plant a different type of tree. Thanks to all at Royal Park Treework and Landscaping for a great job!!! Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The speed of your tree root removal process depends on a few different factors, including the size and type of tree. However, the fastest method of killing tree roots is applying chemical herbicide, which starts working quickly and efficiently. But this removal method has its drawbacks, such as having a negative effect on the surrounding vegetation and landscaping. Other options like rock salt and stump grinding work relatively quickly and cause less damage to your yard.

Although the terms tree trimming and tree pruning are used interchangeably, they are very different types of tree maintenance. Tree trimming involves enhancing the appearance of your tree by removing unruly branches, providing your tree with ample sunlight and nutrients and prevents unsightly overgrowth.

Tree pruning helps keep your trees disease-free. This process removes unhealthy growths, dead branches, and other unhealthy parts of the tree. It’s more common for deciduous and ornamental trees but not so common for evergreen trees. To determine which method you need, discuss it with a tree trimming specialist.

Debris removal is often included in the overall cost of having a tree removed from your property. However, tree maintenance service companies do not always include debris removal in their pricing, so ask any contractors offering tree trimming cost estimates whether or not removal is included. If you want to keep the wood mulch, ask if they charge extra for it as well.

There are many signs that a tree is diseased or dying, and if you suspect that’s the case, you should call an arborist immediately. You might notice rot or fungus on the trunk or that the tree is beginning to lean to one side. Brittle branches or signs of root damage are other indicators that a tree is in trouble. If the tree is dying, it might be time to cut the tree down so it doesn’t fall.

A pro can guide you on the alternatives to tree topping depending on the specific issues within your trees. For example, if you’re dealing with breakage and cracks in your tree, they may suggest canopy reduction, which removes less than 25% of the tree’s limbs. If you’re dealing with lesser damage, some intentional pruning may be all you need. If you’re looking to get a clearer view through your tree, the pro may also try windowing or skirting your tree.
