"I was very impressed with Mr. Ben. The work is still in process but his work ethic is very high. The price was very reasonable. He went over and beyond so far. He will be back Thursday morning to complete the job. I am very pleased and impressed with Angi!!!"

"We're very happy with Cransten Service All Start company and especially with Pace Jorgensen who did an outstanding job in replacing our single sidelight front door with mahogany solid wood door with speakeasy window and double sidelights. "I reported a window sealant problem beneath several windows, and my concern that I also may have a house foundation issue. I was given an inspection appointment. Daniel Messer conducted a thorough inspection, inside and outside, and determined that our foundation is solid, but we have a water leakage problem. This is causing rain water to enter beneath our windows, resulting in a significant window trim gap and separation from the window. Daniel was very polite and helpful, advising that we most likely need a carpenter specialist to alleviate our problem. My wife and I really appreciate his honest evaluation."

"Helped me changing existing window to door, did flooring for my new sunroom, painted my kitchen ceiling and diverted my range hood vent. I can not ask for more. Done timely and professionally. And the price tells you he is a man of God! I could not upload pictures due to file size restrictions here. I highly recommend LV building solution. By the way, he can help with anything. Just reach out and ask him what you need done."

"Wize Home Direct reached out to me immediately after I posted my project to install new seamless gutters and rain spouts. Kendall came out to my home and was able to quote me a good price including a nice discount. Workers came out and installed everything pretty fast. Now I have great looking gutters and rain spouts again. I recommend Wize Home Direct for anyone who needs new gutters or roofing work."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

If you’re not keen on using a traditional doggie door, there are some alternatives. One popular option is a solid, insulated door that you can lock when you’re out of the home for added security. You can also opt for a doggie screen, which you can lift and lower to allow your pooch access to the outdoors. These are a bit more convenient to use than a regular exterior door, although security could be an issue. You can also install a screen door with a small opening for your pup to prevent bugs from coming inside as your dog exits.

The best type of window screen for your home depends on your region and your family’s needs. While fiberglass window screens are a popular, affordable, and easy-to-find choice, you may be looking for different benefits, such as a more high-end look, increased strength, or extended durability. The best window screen meets the demands of your home and its residents while staying within your budget.

If you’re not an experienced DIYer, consider hiring a local patio repair contractor to rescreen your porch or sunroom. Unless you’re only repairing a small rip or hole, this project is not an easy job. A professional can also make recommendations for materials that will work best for your porch.

Window screens are available in several standard sizes. Common dimensions include 24 to 36 inches wide by 36 to 48 inches tall, as well as sizes like 18 by 14 inches and 20 by 20 inches. These often correspond to standard window sizes, such as 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall or 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall. Screens are also sold in replacement rolls to accommodate various dimensions. It is always best to measure your windows for accuracy before a repair or replacement. If your windows are a non-standard size, you will likely need to order custom screens, which can increase the cost. However, a screen does not necessarily have to fit the entire window, so you may be able to use a standard-size screen even if your window is slightly larger.

Many windows carry warranties from the manufacturer or installer that may cover the cost of repairs for a fixed amount of time. When installing or replacing windows, ask about any applicable warranties, what kinds of damage and repair they may cover, and what the procedure is for making a warranty claim.
