"Sal did a great job on my large whole house renovation project. I've used many general contractors but Sal is the first one to make me feel like he was solely focused on my project. Sal does not mess around; he gets the job done fast with superior quality. My project took about 6 weeks to complete and could not be happier with the service."

"Joseph Donabella was the handyman that came and fixed my front door. I have not been able to use my deadbolt for years. Joe took the door off and refit it properly so I can now use my deadbolt again. My door knob lock was also sticking. After he checked it he said I needed to replace the door knob due to its age and suggested I go to a hardware store so I can get the new knob and get it rekeyed to my current key. He was very pleasant and professional. I would work with him again."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

Before starting screen repair in Salisbury, check if your project—especially for porch enclosures—requires approval from your HOA or local authorities. Inspect all window screens for hidden damage caused by pests or moisture. Measure frames carefully, as humidity can affect sizing. Schedule work for dry, mild days to ensure proper adhesion and fit. Opt for UV-resistant screen mesh to withstand Salisbury’s strong sunlight and seasonal pollen.

Helpful?

In Salisbury, screen repair contractors include window and door specialists, handypersons, and mobile repair services that come to your home. Some local contractors focus on porch enclosures or custom screen mesh installations, adapting to Salisbury’s humid climate and frequent storms. When choosing a contractor, ask about their experience with local weather challenges and their use of durable, UV-resistant materials for lasting repairs.

Helpful?

In Salisbury, the humid subtropical climate means window screens and porch enclosures often face high humidity, intense summer sun, and frequent storms. These conditions can cause screen mesh to stretch, warp, or develop mildew. Sudden storms may bring wind-blown debris that tears screens. For best results, plan repairs in spring or fall, when temperatures are milder and materials are less likely to expand or contract during installation.

Helpful?

In Salisbury, schedule screen repair promptly if you see large tears, holes, or damage that lets in insects or allergens—especially before storm or pollen season. If window screens are your main protection against pests, don’t delay. Minor cosmetic flaws or small snags can wait until spring or fall, when weather conditions are ideal for repairs and materials are less likely to be affected by humidity.

Helpful?

In Salisbury, if you notice window screens that sag, have persistent pollen buildup, or show mold in the corners, it’s a sign repairs may be needed. Faded mesh, rusted frames, or brittle spots from sun exposure are also red flags. Gaps that let insects in or patches that don’t hold up after storms suggest the previous repair wasn’t suited for Salisbury’s weather and should be redone.
