"JC’s meticulous attention to detail is second only to his honesty, integrity, and work ethic. I wouldn’t hire anyone else. He’s the guy you call to get the job done right the first or redo a job that was done by a low cost handyman or big-box store installer. I won’t make that mistake twice! Check out the vinyl luxury plank he installed in my mud room. "I was truly impressed and surprised with the work done by Chad. I had several small projects ( split rail fence repaired, door bell replaced, 2light fixtures replaced, and hot/cold temperature selection on tub) Couldn’t access it through the tub surround so he had to cut into from the hall wall. Fixed it and you cannot tell that he had to cut a whole through the chair rail. He was on time every day and went about his work quietly and efficiently. He is a very nice guy to talk with too. He is by far the best handyman I have ever hired. He also kept me informed of every single step and if a problem arose he showed me and explained what would have to be done so I totally understood. I figured these projects would cost more than I had budgeted (especially with the tub enclosure problem) but the final bill was what I considered not only responsible but actually cheap. I would highly recommend him and use him again. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would give him 100!!!"

To install the spline on a screen door, you’ll need a spline roller—a tool that presses the spline and screen into the door’s narrow groove. Note that old spline can crack and break, so replacing your screens is a good time to replace the spline, too.

If your door has interchangeable inserts, you’ll likely want to swap the glass out for a screen during the summer months. The process to do so will vary by door, but you’ll follow these general steps: First, use a flathead screwdriver to pop out the retainer strips—the plastic strips running down both long (and sometimes all four) sides of the door. Then gently pull them out by hand. Carefully remove the glass insert from the door and replace it with the screen.
