"We thoroughly enjoyed working with Javier on this project. The floors were original from the early 1900's, but had been worn heavily. Javier has made them new again! The areas that were damaged were repaired by toothing in new flooring and they were unnoticeable after sanding. Javier made multiple samples and used the highest quality products. He cared about making sure the color and finish met our satisfaction. He took the time make the old stairs not squeak anymore before finishing them. We were also amazed that there was no dust. "I selected Moreno's because of the great reviews here on Home Advisor, he was prompt to come to estimate the job and we agreed on the day to begin. I had about 1000 square feet of 70 year old red oak flooring to be refinished, in various stages of aging. I pulled up the carpets in some rooms, and got most of it up. Humberto came and finished pulling some tacks. I have to say, Humberto is an experienced professional and was thorough in every stage of sanding and had all the tools. He was meticulous, neat and clean. I was amazed that he had completed the sanding and prep work in about 2 and a half days, and applied the first coat by the end of the third day. He came back on the 4th day, applied the top coat and put down the shoe molding. I can't believe how good these old floors look, and I am so glad I opted for refinishing. I feel very lucky to have found such a professional worker. I am hoping to have him come back to do the kitchen floor, as it is also the same oak. I have no reservations in recommending Moreno's for anyone in the area to have their floors refinished."
