"A very professional and complete job. Also had this contractor paint the interior of my home. Removed all the old rotted wood re-secured the stringers comma cut and installed new deck board. "Tomas from TM Projects WNC did a great job all-around on an assortment of badly needed fixes. These included installing flashing around a leaky chimney (leaking stopped), installation of a new ceiling fan (ruined by leak), removal of an old and very heavy window AC unit that was no longer needed, and a complete rehab of a deck that needed some replacement of joists and planks and a thorough pressure-washing and staining. All of this was done with courtesy, professionalism and very fair pricing. Tomas works very hard, is thorough and meticulous in his work, and everything went smoothly. He seems to have expertise in almost every category of home repair and construction. He is timely, responsive, and follows-through on all aspects of communication and timing. "The old plastic ground cover was replaced by heavy duty clean plastic. The crawl space was cleaned and mold was removed. Open vents were sealed. A device that monitors humidity level was installed.

"Fine, despite "Murphy's" best attempt to cause havoc. The front door frame needed to be repaired as well when the threshold and new front door were installed because the spot for the lock was not secure. The guys made sure everything was safe and in good working order. The windows were special order because they had to be inserted into stonework. The company that made the windows did not make them the size specified on the order form. That meant it took longer to find a way to get them to fit into the walls, but the guys cheerfully worked out a way without us needing to wait for new windows to be produced. Our tenants have been very pleased with the improvements. We are also pleased that Handyman Xpress was able to get them installed before the new tenants needed to move in. Made the process much easier for all of us."

"Carlos and his assistants did great work. We were repairing a 50 year old large barn that needed rotten wood replaced, posts replaced, blocks replaced and block joints repaired, a lot of siding replaced, many holes in the tin roof repaired, gutters installed, rafters repaired, floorboards replaced, outside steps to the upstairs, and painting the whole exterior. Carlos was excellent at spotting problems with the building, communicating them, and coming up with solutions. He worked quick and efficiently and was reliable, always showing up when he said he would and was good at communicating (through text mostly and the occasional phone call). He did a couple extra repairs beyond what I asked him, just because he saw they were needed. He knew what he was doing and what products were needed. To save me money, I bought the materials which was fine with him. I would say his only weakness was in developing a detailed materials list before the project started. He knew what he needed but putting down details on paper wasn't his strong point. He and his helpers were courteous and friendly."

Being it is a new house my wife and I needed the piece of mind that our inside natural gas fireplace was installed correctly and had a couple questions on a outside log burning w/ gas starter was also safe. Jim took apart the inside unit and checked for operation and cleaned it, while explaining some items about it we did not know. Jim said it was a good unit and was very professional, protected our hardwood floors and cleaned up any mess made.

 We would definitely do business with him again except he said  it is really too far for him to go. We agree and respect that, Jim did however recommend a place that is closer that he said does good work, we would definitely recommend him to others prompt and great follow up.
