"Very satisfied with A's! I live in Elmont, and was looking for estimates to remove 7 very large trees, a few smaller trees, grind the stumps on all but 2 of them, and was given a very reasonable price for the work. I scheduled the work about a week in advance, and on the scheduled day, the 6-person crew showed up and got busy right away. It took about 6 hours for them to complete the job, and when they were done, the trees and stumps were gone, the property was adequately cleaned up, as was the debris in the street. I should also mention that 2 of the large trees were not easily accessible, but A's brought them down with precision, even while working in tight quarters. I really can not thank and compliment A's enough for a job well done, and do highly recommend them for any tree work you may have."

"I spoke with Justin Dugan and he is very professional. We actually scheduled an appointment but we got in touch with another service through referral from our builder and we decided to go with the other service because they actually are able to do tree removal and septic system and we need both."

"Extremely professional crew. I had a yard full of over grown trees and stumps. Lawn-n-order took care of me and got my yard back to where it should be. The guys work very fast, only took them 3 days when I figured it would take a week at least. The price was also very reasonable, especially for the amount of work I had them do. If you need a well rounded, professional, and fast acting tree company give these guys a call! I promise you wonâ t be disappointed!"

"We were very happy with Kevin's work of removing a tree stump, and all the roots that came with it. He did the job, cleaned up afterwards and we really appreciated his integrity. We will certainly recommend him to our friends."

"I could not have dreamed of better service. The men were on time, cut the trees quickly with very professional work, cleaned the yard. Jose was not only professional, he was extremely courteous. Don't waste your time screening other tree services. You won't find a better all around company than Golden Pine Tree Expert Corp. Great work for very reasonable prices. I couldn't be more satisfied! "Everything about the service was great but I could not give perfect score because I expected the yard would be cleaned when they finished. I was not told and did not know that the holes would be left open and all the sawdust and dirt piled all around. I am disabled and elderly. I am still trying to find help to fill the holes and clean up the mounds of sawdust. And that will cost more! Mr Huskens was very kind, and communicated with me throughout the process, and even made a trip back to me to give the receipt for my payment."

"My experience was excellent. Quick call back to schedule a quote. Two days later Nick was there for the quote. Very informative while walking my property and answered all my questions. Gave me multiple options and very fair pricing. Cleaned up my yard when they were all finished up. Super friendly. 10 out 10 Recommend"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The felling notch you make before you make the final cut will determine which way the tree will fall. The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall.

You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax.

Yes, you can hire professionals to move a tree. Arborists and tree transplanting companies specialize in this type of work and use equipment like hydraulic tree spades to safely extract and relocate trees with their root balls intact. Since tree moving is a complex process, especially for larger trees, it’s best left to experts who understand how to protect the tree’s health and ensure the safety of everyone involved.

In the short term, you’ll have a lot of fallen trees to deal with. Tree removal services costs typically start at $200 per tree and increase based on species and size. Then, you’ll have to deal with the loss of trees: That means a loss of shade and a greater risk of rain runoff and erosion. Also, you’ll miss out on the health and aesthetic benefits of having trees on your property, which could even affect the resale value of your home.

That being said, cutting down a tree it’s not always a bad idea. Trees growing too close to rooftops can present fire hazards or debris problems. You may need to remove diseased or dying trees to prevent future issues.

Whether you grind or dig up and remove your tree stump depends on your landscaping goals. Using a stump grinder leaves the root system in place for it to decompose over time, whereas digging up the tree stump removes the roots and the stump. Overall, stump grinding is a far simpler process since you won’t need to deal with the roots. Stump removal will make your yard look like a demolition site, but you’ll have an easier time replanting in the same place as your former tree.
