"I was so pleased with A's Tree Service Corp. They were exactly what I wanted, someone to come in and just remove all of the trees from a very overgrown property we had just purchased. The job was huge and also difficult. The trees on my property were many stories high, entangled with power lines of two houses and were in close proximity of my neighbor's houses. I was so pleased with their professionalism and dedication to removing 9 very large trees in one day, WITHOUT A PROBLEM!!!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking into tree removal! Thank you As!!!"

"Fantastic job! Outstanding service, very methodical and safety oriented tree experts. Greg & Mindy were certain of the best arborists we've used. "We had 5 large trees removed from property, several very close to the house. One was a 110' high poplar with branches hanging over the house. We had several different companies quote, and Samuel from Sweet Carolina Tree Care was the only one that said he could remove the trees without damaging all the nice dogwoods and smaller trees growing under the canopy. He delivered exactly what he promised, with no damage to the other foliage, fencing, or house. It was quite impressive seeing them use a zip line to remove large branches from the top of the tree next to the house. He cut them and they flew right over the other trees landing in the back yard on the zip line. I would highly recommend him. Showed up on time each day. Ensured I was happy before payment. Honest fair pricing, highly competent work."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

If you aren’t sure what you’re doing, be very careful when cutting mature tree roots (roots larger than 2 inches). Root cutting and pruning can affect both a tree’s stability and its ability to nourish itself. Issues during root cutting can result in damage or injury.

It’s recommended you call in a pro to help, unless it’s a very small tree and you aren’t worried about the prospect of losing the tree.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.

The Christmas tree type that smells the best to you will ultimately depend on personal preference. But if that classic Christmas tree smell is important to you, choosing a type of tree known for its scent is a safe bet. Try a balsam fir for a spicy, comforting scent or a Douglas fir for a sweeter smell. You may also like Fraser firs, Scotch pines, and blue spruces.

Aside from removing dead or diseased branches, you should prune your trees somewhere between every one and three years. Some people—particularly commercial farmers—prune their apple trees yearly to produce higher yields. This is the best way to promote tree health. That said, the average homeowner can get away with hard-pruning their mature apple tree every other year or every three years.
