"

Lewis Beam and his crew did an excellent job.  We wished we had hired them the first time!  We had originally hired another company (Good Guys Construction from Waynesville) to remove our swimming pool and landscape the yard.  They finished half the project, took our money, and left us a real mess.

Lewis Beam brought in his crew and completed the project for us.  Their price was as originally quoted.  They were very pleasant and kept us informed of everything they were doing.  They worked hard and were extremely competent.  We will definitely recommend them for any future landscaping.

"Extremely friendly and empathetic to my 82 year old Father's house issues from Hurricane Helene. My Dad was one of the very luckiest people to be impacted (damage, yes, but not displaced and obviously did not lose everything like so many others in the area). David was super fast to respond, he and his team were there within 24 hours. They did an amazing job at an extremely fair price, and started/finished the job quickly which was the trifecta of great service. I highly recommend this company to anyone in the area who needs any type of exterior work done."

"This is not the first time we have been moved to report on this service provider.  But his work is so exceptional that we truly believe it deserves further attention.  Proprietor Jason Simpson provides a level of high customer satisfaction  we've never before encountered.  His knowledge of construction fundamentals is unsurpassed.  He has an excellent eye for detecting maintenance issues that others are likely to overlook.  His commitment to excellence in work performance is beyond improvement.  Our home is currently for sale and we have already scheduled Jason for a number of important restoration projects at our new location.

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

The cost of removing snow from a roof averages between $300 and $700. However, this cost can range from $200 to $3,000, depending on the size of your roof, the amount of snow, and roof accessibility.

Since snowfall can range from light powder to heavy and condensed snow, part of the price of roof snow removal depends on the amount and type of snow. For 12 inches of snow, you can expect to pay between $200 and $2,000 for this job. However, for 24 inches of snow, that price rises to $300 to $3,000.

It is not advisable to use salt on your roof to prevent or remove ice dams. It’s not only mostly ineffective but can also cause serious damage to your roof itself. Salt can rust metal, damage masonry, pit shingles, and cause runoff that’s damaging to plants and animals.

Rubbing alcohol may also remove ice from your driveway in a pinch. It has a lower freezing point than water, which expedites the unfreezing process. Pour 70 percent isopropyl alcohol into a quart or half-gallon spray bottle and spray it on your driveway. You do not have to dilute it with water.

The fastest and most effective way to remove snow from a driveway is by using a powerful snow blower, such as a two- or three-stage model, which can clear the area in minutes. Other helpful options include a snow thrower, a wheelbarrow plow, and even a leaf blower for lighter snow. If you need immediate help, consider hiring a professional snow removal company to take care of it for you.

Heavy amounts of snow could be a problem. In many climates, lots of snow on your rooftop can lead to freeze-thaw cycle that create ice dams, which can damage rooftops. But if you’re using shingle clips, this snow poses an additional problem: As it melts and freezes, it can easily dislodge clips you’ve placed on your roof.

You can clean snow off your roof after a fresh snowfall while it’s still lightweight, but brushing off snow can also dislodge your clips. If you get a lot of snow, then roof clips become less viable.
