Ben's Tree Service

I woke up and realized that a tree had split in two and fallen in the middle of the night. I could not leave the premises with my car because the tree was lying across the driveway. I looked on Angie's List and found Ben's service. I gave him a call and he was on another job but he promised to call back promptly. He called back a few minutes later and he set up a time that he would arrive to look at the tree. He called back again and said that he would be later than planned because the first job was taking longer than expected. He arrived when expected and looked at the tree and determined that both halves (the upright portion and the portion already on the ground) needed to be removed for the safety of my property. He gave me a quote which I thought was fair and he said he would be back later with more equipment to take the tree away. He again arrived on time and proceeded to clear the tree from my property with help from his team. They cleaned up the worksite well, I paid him, and they left. As for price, I have had a few tree removal experiences in my lifetime and the quote seemed to be fair, especially because it was a same day "emergency" situation (i.e., no cars could get off the premises). I would definitely recommend Ben's service for the removal of trees.

Ben could not have provided better service in removing our trees.  Everything was done in a very professional (and more importantly safe) manner.  He worked quickly but took the time to make sure everything was done safely, not only the safety of our property, but the safety of himself and everyone around the area including pets.  He even cut down a dead tree up in our woods at no additional charge.  The quote he gave us for the job up front was all he wanted or ask for even though more work was done.  But, we were so impressed with Ben we insisted he take an additional $100.

Ben came to my property to provide a quote for tree trimming and tree removal. Because it is spring, and a bad time for trimming trees, he suggested waiting until fall. I later decided to have the trees taken down that I wanted removed but wait until fall to have the other trees trimmed. Ben came back again to provide a quote just for the tree removal. We agreed on a price and date. On that date he showed up on time, cut down the trees, and hauled off everything. He worked hard, was careful not to damage any other trees or property, and cleaned up exceptionally well.

Ben returned call quickly and was punctual for both the estimate and service appointments. He was easy to talk to, willing to explain what he was going to do and how he would do it. The large tree was diseased and leaning towards our neighbors shed, Ben fell it with out a problem. I would recommend Ben to anyone who is interested in getting good, competent tree service. Many other tree folks didn't even return our calls, while others called after Ben had completed the job! It was a pleasure doing business with someone so friendly, knowlegeable, and professional.

It was in a hard to get to place ( power lines, other trees, houses ).  He did a great job putting right where we wanted it.

Ben was very professional in all our interactions. He came out Immediately to give us an estimate on a Sunday, and he completed the work to satisfaction that following Wednesday

The job went beautifull.  He came and gave an estimate.  He pointed out the problems and told me why they were problems (which is what I hired him to do).  We agreed on a price and he came back the next day to do the job.  He was a couple of hours early from his estimated arrival to do the work.  The oak branch over the house was very difficult and he handled it very well.  Without saying anything, he pointed out my favorite tree and said he wouldn't cut it down for anything.  He pointed out that it had some problems (water sprouts) and it was not getting the best nourishment.  He fixed that, too.  I would hire him again and plan on it.

We initially found the company through the purchase of a "Groupon".  We purchased $300 worth of tree work for $99.
Ben was very prompt to return my initial phone call and to come out and provide an estimate.  He was very polite and professional and explained clearly what work needed to be done and what could wait for the future.  They completed the work even earlier than promised and left everything clean and neat.  We would absolutely recommend this company to others.

It went very well.  Ben and his one-man crew felled four large trees (each about 1' in diameter), three of which were very close to a metal shed.  He took down the trees without any damage to the shed or any other structure.  He also gave me advice as to which trees I should look at to remove, and which to keep.
Compared to other tree services, the Groupon saved me $150. 

Telephoned  Owner Ben Warren and and arranged a time he could inspect the cutting of trees.He came exactly as agreed.I asked him to look at the trees around our house and advise any that he thought might have a risk of damaging the house during storms.He identified just the three trees I thought to be risks and gave me an estimate of $300 for removing one dead tree and pruning the upper branches of two others.We settled on an afternoon the following week at his discretion.He completed the trimming the following Tuesday and telephoned me that he was finished.I went and inspected and found the trees cut exactly as we had agreed.  The wood was left exactly as I had asked so I could use it in my stove for heating.I will hire Mr. Warren for more trimming this winter when the trees are dormant.
