"It really surprised me because they were also able to help refinish my hard wood floor, they made my 30 year old wood floors look like new. They also surprised me with there ability to clean my grout around my tile in the kitchen it has never been that clean, despite others having tried to clean it. The difference between them and other carpet cleaners is that they got the spots out and they stayed out. They did a great job, the product knowledge was outstanding as well as there knowledge of the type of carpet I had."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.

White vinegar, water, and dish soap is a powerful combination for removing tough carpet stains. The vinegar breaks down the stain, the water helps to rinse it, and the soap helps remove any lasting stains from your carpet.

Professional carpet cleaning can cause mold if the job is not done properly. There are two ways this can happen—if your carpet cleaner fails to dry the carpet properly, or if your carpet cleaner uses an excessive amount of water during the cleaning process. Mold can grow wherever moisture is present, so make sure you hire a pro who knows the process inside and out.

No, you should never vacuum or sweep up mouse or rat droppings, as doing so can release harmful particles into the air and increase your risk of disease exposure. Instead, wear gloves and a mask, spray the droppings with a disinfectant spray, let it soak for a few minutes, and then carefully wipe them up with paper towels. Afterward, disinfect the area thoroughly and immediately wash your hands when you’re done.
