Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "The driveway was widened via Pavers that Nicolas recommended to match the stone on our house. In addition, we had no impervious remaining so Nicolas added drainage to make the new area pervious. It looks beautiful and we have received several complements. The team was efficient, polite, and fully cleaned up after completing their work."

"This was without question one of the best contractors i've ever worked with. Mark Wise, the project manager, was hands-on, helpful, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. The work crew was super capable, the project was completed as promised, as quoted, not add ons or gimmicks, and looks absolutely beautiful. They even seeded and graded the area nearby, not called for in the bid, at no additional charge, simply because they felt that's what was needed to make the area look right. I couldn't possible give a higher recommendation and will be using them on all my future landscaping projects"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

While the specific timeline for building a driveway can vary based on driveway length and local weather conditions, the average concrete driveway can require several days to lay down all of the different parts of the driveway. The curing process may require you to avoid using your driveway for a week following construction. Heavier vehicles should be kept off of a new concrete driveway for several weeks. Building a gravel driveway may take just one to two days in total.

The driveway apron is a technical term referring to where a private driveway meets the public street. If there is a sidewalk in front of the house, the driveway apron is typically on the opposite side of the public sidewalk from the driveway itself.

The dimensions of a driveway apron vary based on local building codes, the width of your driveway, and the distance between the driveway and the road. On average, aprons range from 12 to 24 feet wide and 8 to 18 feet long. Typically, the end of the apron connected to the driveway matches its width—such as 10 to 12 feet for a single-car driveway—while the end at the street flares out to allow cars to turn in and out more easily. In some areas, you may not be responsible for the portion of the apron that extends beyond the sidewalk, but this depends on local laws.

It takes recycled asphalt 48 hours to initially harden and up to 3 months to fully cure. It’s best to stay off of recycled asphalt for at least 48 hours, then you can walk or drive standard vehicles on it. Hold off on driving heavy trucks or equipment on it for at least 7 days. Allowing the surface to melt together and harden ensures that the surface stays durable and long-lasting.
