Small jobs welcome

"Nate did a great job! He was super efficient and was done in no time. He is a pro at his trade and I would highly recommend him for drywall repairs. He also did a great job with prompt communication and let me know when he was available and on the way. Super happy with his service. He even went out of his way to look at some other minor drywall repairs. Highly recommend, 10 out of 10 service!"

"Ken had performed another exterior painting and fencing job for me in the past.  This job was all interior work  Ken is very responsive and got right to work once everything was scheduled.  He and his assistant were always professional and courteous.  The job was completed slightly behind schedule primarily due to the Thanksgiving holidays, although Ken worked on weekends and often late hours.  He makes sure the job is done correctly and the paint job looked great once it was finished.  He fixed any imperfections in the drywall and the rooms look good as new.

Drywall questions, answered by experts

The average cost to apply a skip-trowel drywall texture to walls is $1.25 to $2.00 per square foot. Ceilings cost slightly more because of the increased difficulty of working overhead. Additional cost factors include any drywall repairs and removal of existing textures or wallpaper.

Drywall is safe to cut as long as you follow proper procedures, such as wearing personal protective equipment and using the right tools to score and cut the drywall. When cutting new drywall, it can release dust with silica and other compounds that could pose health risks. Leave cutting drywall to the pros, or wear a high-quality respiratory mask, goggles, and other PPE when handling drywall.

Some textures are easier than others to DIY, but the short answer is yes, you can absolutely texture walls yourself. You’ll need certain materials, like a trowel or paint sprayer, but the most important things you’ll need are patience and time. DIYing wall texture can save money and be a fun, messy project, but homeowners need to know that adding texture to a wall isn’t a quick project.

Deciding whether to repair or replace drywall can be tricky, but your top considerations should be the extent of the damage and what caused the damage. For instance, if you need to repair a small hole caused by a doorknob that hit the wall, you can safely patch it without a second thought. However, if you have significant drywall damage caused by water damage, it’s best to thoroughly remove the drywall to inspect and repair the pipes behind it before replacing it.

Small patches can be DIY, but professionals handle large-scale repairs with seamless results.
