"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. In the end, I saved lots of money, gaining and learning valuable experience! Absolutely fabulous service!"

"Dakota and his team were very professional and did a great job repairing a wall and a ceiling. Dakota was very quick to communicate and return calls. Ive had bad experiences with contractors in the past and given how hard it is to find a good one I would definitely go back to country remodeling."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Start by checking your local MS flood zone designation before planning any underground plumbing work, as high groundwater affects excavation timelines. Schedule major projects outside of hurricane season to avoid supply chain and contractor disruptions. Coordinate with your local utility department early to schedule any necessary water meter shutoffs. Finally, verify whether your property uses city sewer or a private septic system to ensure proper planning and smooth project execution.

Helpful?

In Moss Point, functional plumbing repairs like fixing sewer lines or replacing water heaters require a permit. Cosmetic updates, such as swapping out a showerhead, do not require a permit. Because of the humid, coastal environment, you should treat surface stains or discolored fixtures as potential functional problems. Salt air accelerates pipe corrosion in older waterfront homes, so always check for underlying degradation before assuming an issue is purely cosmetic.

Helpful?

Routine plumbing maintenance in Moss Point involves annual crawl space inspections to identify pipe corrosion and standing water. Prepare for hurricane season by securing exposed outdoor pipes and verifying that all shut-off valves function properly. Flush your water heater tank periodically to remove sediment buildup from the mineral-rich groundwater. Following any tropical storm, schedule a professional inspection to identify damaged underground lines, shifted pipe connections, or contaminated water supplies.

Helpful?

Older homes in MS face accelerated pipe corrosion due to salt air, high humidity, and mineral-rich groundwater. Galvanized supply pipes and cast iron drain lines require significant plumbing work over time. High humidity also degrades rubber toilet components like flapper valves rapidly. Additionally, water heaters located in crawl spaces suffer from exterior tank corrosion, while outdoor hose bibs sustain damage from tropical storm debris and occasional hard winter freezes.

Helpful?

Plumbing work in Moss Point intersects directly with HVAC systems, since condensate lines tie into bathroom drains. Altering drain slopes causes air conditioning condensate to back up. Modifying pipes in tight utility spaces also affects electrical systems, especially near electric water heaters or older aluminum wiring. For elevated homes on pier-and-beam foundations, excavating or repositioning pipes impacts structural supports. Hire licensed professionals to coordinate these overlapping household systems safely.
