"They come when they say they are. They not only tell you what the problem is. They show you what it is, and give you the best option to fix it. They don’t jack up the prices for parts, and they get it done the right way the first time around. Great people and, I’m gladly grateful and pleased! MAC HVAC was the ones to fix my problems"

"We needed to have a soldier course of bricks installed into a channel cut into the driveway. Not a big project. 16 1/2 feet and we had the bricks. We had some outrageous quotes from people who did not even bother to look at the project. Then Troy called; he came to see us and described how he would do it and quoted a reasonable price. We agreed on a date. They called to let us know they were on the way. Pleasant and professional. And neat. We will have him back for a few other projects."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

No, you shouldn’t insert an LED light into an incandescent socket. It usually won’t fit anyway, but in the unlikely chance that it does, its electrical demands are too different for it to work properly.

Professionals use the same methods found in this guide unless they’re decorating a particularly large Christmas tree. In that case, they may also make use of tools like extension poles to get the job done.

How many string lights can be on one outlet depends on a number of varying factors, including the total wattage of your circuit, the type of lights, the energy needs of the lights, and cord specifications. It’s better to play it safe here to protect your circuit, so figure out the max wattage of your circuit, compare that to the lights, and move on from there. Generally speaking, LED string lights require less energy than incandescent bulbs, translating to a higher number of lights per circuit.

Good news, Christmas lovers: you can keep your lights up all year, provided you choose the type. It's critical that you choose holiday lights made for outdoor use, as these can withstand winter weather conditions. In addition, it's best to use LED lights instead of incandescent ones. LED bulbs can withstand temperature shifts and are energy efficient.

If you are considering leaving your holiday lights up year-round, ask your lighting installer about permanent installation. This project costs around $3,500 but gives you about six to 10 years of LED lights and adds a pleasing aesthetic to your home.

Permanent lights can save you big in labor costs down the line, as you’ll only need to invest in installing them once. As with regular lights, costs vary based on the display and the size of your home. Costs are similar to hanging regular lights, typically falling between $220 and $650
