"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. In the end, I saved lots of money, gaining and learning valuable experience! Absolutely fabulous service!"

"Noticed we were starting to have issues with our septic tank. Gave Thigpen a call and set up an appointment for the next day. They were here on time and completed the job quickly. No trying to talk me into any other services I didn't need, no bs, just straight up honest work. Will definitely hire again when the time comes."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Schedule an immediate plumbing assessment if you notice unexplained water bill increases or experience recurring slow drains. In older Mccomb neighborhoods, frequent clogs indicate invasive tree roots inside the sewer lines. Watch for wet yard spots or gurgling drains after heavy rainfall, which signal pipe damage from shifting clay soils. Always inspect exposed crawl space pipes for reduced water pressure following a hard winter freeze.

Helpful?

Underground sewer and supply lines frequently require plumbing work due to shifting clay soils in Mccomb. Hard groundwater accelerates mineral scale buildup, which shortens the lifespan of water heaters and fixture valves. Additionally, the high regional humidity heavily corrodes exposed metal pipes in crawl spaces. Homes built before the 1970s feature aging cast iron or galvanized steel pipes that demand proactive replacement to prevent severe leaks.

Helpful?

Homeowners frequently underestimate the time required to secure local permits for major plumbing updates in MS. Dense clay soils and mature tree roots heavily complicate yard excavation, extending project timelines. Resolving pipe leaks in crawl spaces often reveals hidden moisture damage that requires immediate vapor barrier repairs. Finally, extreme summer heat and unexpected winter freezes directly impact contractor availability and make outdoor excavation significantly more difficult.

Helpful?

Reject any quote from an unlicensed contractor, as MS mandates state-level licensure for all professionals. Avoid estimates that omit necessary permits or promise unusually fast completion times for complex older homes. Ensure quotes for sewer work include a thorough camera inspection and account for soil settling. For homes with crawl spaces, the proposal must detail access conditions, moisture barriers, and proper pipe support to guarantee a safe installation.

Helpful?

Replacing sewer lines in dense Mccomb clay requires exact bedding material to prevent pipe settlement and repeat sewage backups. Crawl space drains demand precise sloping to stop sewage from pooling under your home. Correct water heater venting and pressure relief piping are critical safety measures in this humid climate. Furthermore, professionals must properly seal all slab penetrations to block ground moisture and pests from entering the property.
