He woupd not come back to fix it. Says he is too busy. I gave this man over $21,000 of my money to do good work. Unfortunately, yes. If your well pump continues working when the flow of water is completely blocked, the motor will burn up. The energy has nowhere to go, thanks to the blockage, so it turns inward. The end result? A ruined well pump and a depleted bank account (once you shop for a replacement.) 

Both can deliver clean water to your taps, but well water and city water carry a few differences. City water is delivered and connected through a main water line, and it travels through a network of underground private and public pipes to service various buildings and structures once it’s been treated.

Well water is derived from dug or drilled wells that source groundwater from the water table. City water is often more expensive than well water, but it eliminates the need for you to test and treat your own well water.

The average three to four-bedroom home uses a well pump of 8 to 12 GPM. It’s recommended to calculate your own GPM based on the number of water fixtures in your home so you can find the pump size that’s most accurate to your needs.

A sprinkler pump may not turn on because of problems with the power supply or the circuit breaker. It can also stop working if the motor burns out. If it’s not a tripped breaker, a burned-out motor, or another issue with the power, it’s time to call in a sprinkler repair pro to take a closer look.

Another common question is, what pressure should your well tank be set at? The standard rule of thumb is to set your well tank’s pressure at 2 psi below the cut-on point of your pressure switch. So if your well is set up for a high cycle of 40/60 psi, your pressure should be set to 38 psi. If you use a low setting of 30/50 psi, you would set the pressure to 28 psi.
