Needed Saturday service, and Jordan was at our house within an hour of calling. Very knowledgeable, professional, and quickly fixed our issues. Have used before (as Drain Masters) and will use again.

My handicapped sister-in-law had drain issues in her condo. She contacted Rotor-Rooter to clear. A tech showed up for a few hours, cleared the lines and performed the work as needed. They charged her a commercial rate, not residential. She had a $75 coupon and the tech just sold her $76 worth of useless products to supposedly help keep the lines clear. I called the office 2 weeks ago to speak with the manager and he never returned my call. They clearly took advantage of her. I would never recommend using this company.

First had appointment on Wed 6/8 at 1:00 pm,took day off and talked to association in my building the day before,they said we need to announce to neighbors that watter will be shut off and we charge for that and to shut the water off. Roto rooter didn't show up and they called at 1:30 PM that they are not coming and if I would like to reschedule .I rescheduled to Saturday 6/11 at 11:00 to 3:00 pm. Again same procedure,took day off and called association..Now I have angry people in association and in my building. On Saturday guy came at 1:50 pm and after walking thru condo and observing what he need to do he said that HE DOES NOT HAVE TIME TODAY FOR THAT AND TO CALL TO SET NEW APPOINTMENT.At this point I thought that I am going to faint and it is close to 3:00 pm.Asking nicely why he came if he knew that .At the end I told him that I will need to fix necessary things since the water shut off is already announced and that I am getting charged for it second time this week because of them.I offered to change my plan and instead of instaling shut off valve for my condo I remove vanity in the bathroom,cut the wall and make it accessible for him to work on those unoperable valves untill he fix the leaky pipe in the closet.After that he instaled new valves in my bathroom. So instaling 2 3/8 size valves and instaling the coupler on 1/2 inch pipe cost me 870$,the parts needed for my work are in home depot 26.43$. The guy was out of my condo at 4:30PM. So if you want to be humiliated and feel sorry for your self just call the Roto Rooter.

Smoothly, efficiently, effectively, and no big clean-up afterward.

I generally do not write reviews, and when I do, it is usually to point out exceptional service or quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. Robert from Roto-Rooter (Saint Louis) came out to fix a shower handle and cartridge. This took quite a while and I was charged significantly more than what one would expect for this job. After a couple weeks, I noticed that a leak had started as a result of this work, when water began to come through my basement ceiling. Robert returned to diagnose a leak from a sweat joint on the shower valve. He indicated that he would need to replace the entire valve, removing tile to get to it, and quoted $1500 (not including tile repair). This leak did not begin until the work he had done on the original job. I went with another company who diagnosed the same issue, but offered up a repair solution, costing less than 1/3 of Robert’s quote, and did not require the removal of tile (their quote for complete replacement was also considerably cheaper as well, even with tile replacement included). They are a reputable company and completed this work in an hour. I would strongly recommend against using Roto-Rooter in Saint Louis as they are overpriced, dishonest with their advice, and seemingly lack the skill of other plumbing options in the area.

Just no. They take advantage of people in a tough spot. I was overcharged about $800. I would absolutely not recommend this company. Please check out Tony LaMartina, or Maplewood Plumbing for a reasonable price.

this is a follow up review. After calling and emailing multiple times with no response. (this goes on for two months now) we received a letter stating a lien will be placed on home unless bill is paid - is there any legal support here? their ONE LINE bill has no break out of fees or hours or anything, and no one from this company responds.

water abatement and cleanup

Ivan showed up on time and explained to me what needed to be done. The work was completed in a short time and he showed me the roots he had taken out of the line. After making sure the line was working properly, the work site was completely cleaned up. I will certainly use them again and will recommend them.

Told us how to fix the problem ourselves to save us money on this call, and to prevent future service calls for this particular problem.
