It was very rare, but it eventually seemed like it might be coming from the roof. I called Richards Roofing, and they came out the next morning. They did a thorough investigation (including going up on the roof with a blower) and thought it might be a gutter cover that was causing the noise. For now, we pulled the gutter cover to see if that fixes it. My main point is that 18 months after the job, they came straight out no questions asked to look into a reported problem.
