"In March----I selected Lockwood based on Angie's List ratings.  Ken Lockwood came out to give estimate.  He is very nice and very professional.  He examined what needed to be done in detail so he could give an accurate bid.  He let me know when he could do the work and then provided an exact schedule later.  His team stripped wallpaper in dining room and master bedroom and painted.  They did an excellent job.  We also asked them to do some touch up work on some baseboard and molding in a few rooms.  This was in the bid.  This part of the job was not as well done as the rest.  When I called this to his attention Ken had a couple people out to fix it and they did a good job then.
In May---we decided to get the wallpaper below the chair rail removed and painted along with the hall bath where it too
required wallpaper removal and painting.  We also had a front door entrance gel stained and clear coated outside only.  They did excellent job but did have to ask them to come back out and fix a little bit of paint cracking around the bathroom wall fixture. Also the bathroom mirror needed to be put back up. When they came back I asked if they put 2 coats of clear coat on the front door.  Rob said he would put another coat on just to be sure.  He also did a little more staining on it.  It really looks good.  All their work was excellent by time I paid.  I would have rated an A instead of B on quality but for fact I did have to ask them to come back out on a few small items.  To their credit they did so quickly and did and were nice to deal with.  I would use them again.  I have referred Lockwood to a friend who used him and they too were very pleased with their work.

"Working with Tom Claus is great! He is prompt, courteous, honest and listens to your needs. We trusted Tom and his crew so much that we gave them access to our home while we were out of town for a week. In doing so, we were not disrupted and the crew was able to work without any interruptions from us. They move the furniture and then return to its original position in the room. We had an issue with some of the bathroom walls not due to the painters' fault; Tom sent someone out immediately to remedy the situation. We are truly happy with the job! We hired Dettmann- Claus a year or so ago to paint our exterior and decided to hire them for this job. We will definitely hire them again for our next project."

"I own a condominium that had been absolutely trashed by the former tenants. It has been incredibly discouraging (not to mention costly) to get everything fixed and spruced up. Larry, his son, and John were very helpful. They arrived on time and got right to work. They painted the place from top to bottom (literally - including the basement, which had hideous 1970's era brown wood paneling). They also helped with some important drywall repairs and removed stubborn wallpaper from one bathroom. How they got that bathroom to look so good afterward is a mystery to me but you would never know there had been wallpaper there before. The walls are absolutely smooth - no bumps, no rough patches. Gorgeous.  The basement was absolutely transformed by the new bright paint and it will really be a usable rec room now.
Larry and his crew worked incredibly fast and were neat and professional. Before they helped me I hated to go over to the condo to work on repairs because it was so discouraging. Now thanks to the impeccable paint job I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
 I will definitely hire Larry again to help with painting my own house. It was a pleasure to work with him. Do note that he is busy, so you may have to wait a bit to get on his calendar, but I would guess that is because he is much in demand. It is worth the wait.

"Chad painted our 30 year-old+ Morton building and it looks fabulous. The paint had faded and the building was looking pretty tired. Chad power-washed and then repainted using paint that will last for many years. I really appreciated the quality work. The lines between the two colors we chose were tight. Additionally, Chad overcommunicated to ensure we had current status without question--especially given this was such a large job. For example, it was raining one of the days he was scheduled to paint. He called anyway to make sure we knew he would not be there and provide an update on status. Awesome customer focus and experience! Excellent results! Highly recommend!"

"Good Neighbors was a pleasure to work with from start to finish - the opposite of every horror story everybody warned me about with remodeling contractors. From the day Tom Earle came by to do the estimate to the day they started work to the day they finished, everything was done on schedule as promised and sometimes early. As requested, they scheduled the floor finishing work for while we were on vacation. Rudy and Jeff were professional, prompt and courteous, and did beautiful work; you can tell they take pride in getting it right. The electrician did a great job and helped us with lighting plans. Plumbing was mostly good, with a few problems that were quickly resolved. Tom worked well with the city on permits and with a home improvement store, where we bought our cabinets and appliances. Mostly I didn't have to get involved in coordinating deliveries, he took care of it. The inevitable changes that were needed in the original plans were handled quickly at minimum cost."
