"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. Thank You!"

"First time moved in 30 years! We were sooooo impressed with our choice in Movers - Gerold Moving from Belleville. Workers were extremely courteous, hard-working and offered to assist on items outside their scope. Very careful, very driven. I HIGHLY recommend Gerold. If I was to move again . . . I would quickly go back to Gerold. You will not regret. Extremely professional organization. 👍🏻"

"Amazing crew!!! I've done a lot of moving over the years and this had to be one the easiest, stress free moves. They were thorough, safe, clean and on time. They moved things quickly and took great care to make sure everything was wrapped properly. I would absolutely use this company again for any future needs!!!"

"This was an ongoing project of junk hauling and moving items to storage. The Titans Moving team was professional, friendly, and flexible. They know how to pack a trailer or truck - efficiently and carefully. They helped a South St. Louis person bring order back into their home. Will definitely use their services again."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is cheaper to move yourself than to hire professional movers. The average DIY move costs $120 to $2,300, while professionals cost $890 to $2,570 on average or up to $12,000 for the longest distances. While you’ll save on the cost of professional labor with a DIY move, you’ll spend more time and energy packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking.

You can calculate the cost of moving by evaluating your home size, the weight of your belongings, distance, and the method of moving. You’ll also want to account for moving company fees, cost of supplies, gas prices, storage fees, insurance, and more. To get the most accurate estimate for your upcoming move, get price quotes from several moving companies in your area.

When you submit your payment depends on the company’s policy and if you use the container for storage before and after the move. Some companies require a deposit, and others collect the fees on the day the container arrives at your home.

Unscrew and remove furniture legs if possible. If it’s not possible, then run the straps parallel on the inner side of the furniture legs. Never put your straps on the outer side of legs where they can easily slip off.

It can be tempting to want to help your movers as they pack or transport your belongings, but in general, most movers prefer their customers to stay out of the way. Rest assured that your movers are confident in their skills and the process will likely go faster without your help. If you see something concerning, let your movers know right away so they can adjust or remedy the issue.
