"Petey is very prompt, he called me within an hour of requesting plaster services. Petey came out looked over my project gave a fair bid. He and his crew did great work were done quickly and cleaned everything up. I had two small areas that cracked slightly due to rapid drying. I called Petey and he came out on a Sunday morning to fix them free of charge. It has been a great experience working with S&S Plastering and I would recommend them to anyone who needs plaster work."

"Would rate very good to excellent. . Personable, professional, punctual. Carpet, furniture, doors, windows and trim well protected before any work was started. Perhaps could have had less drywall damage with wallpaper removal in half of room. Wall surface repaired, primed, prepped for painting including sanding and painted.. ."

"Dusty did an incredible job! He was able to get me scheduled about a week out. He showed up early and got the job done quicker than I expected. He went way above and beyond my expectation in the quality of work! He even sealed up a crack in the bathroom that I hadn't even told him about. He also cleaned out mouse nests formed between the studs in the kitchen. It's hard to find people who do "great work", but Dusty Keller is certainly one of them! I would highly recommend Keller Drywall for both the price and quality of work."

"Needed to replace and repair lots of rotten wood, and peeling paint on the house. looked at several options, and Continental worked hard to earn my business. They made a great sell, and provided financing that worked within my budget. It may have taken a while to get the actual work started (due in part to the COVID pandemic slowing everything down) but they called me every two weeks with an update on my position in line. The house looks fantastic, and I never need to worry about rotten siding again. Would highly recommend."

"Craig did a great job applying an antique finish to our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. He also applied an epoxy finish to our bathroom countertops that closely resembles marble countertops. This was a tough job and Craig was good to his word getting the job done and on budget. I would highly recommend Craig for any interior work he feels qualified to take on."

Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

While you should consult with a ceiling professional for larger cracks, especially if you’re not sure what’s causing your ceiling to crack, you can certainly try to repair small cracks on your own. If you’re up for the task, here’s how to repair ceiling cracks for $150 or less.

In most cases, plaster repair will improve your home’s energy efficiency because a solid barrier of the insulative material helps keep conditioned air inside your home. Major plaster repair jobs like repairing large cracks or crumbling sections of plaster or applying a skim coat might make a noticeable difference in your heating and cooling bills. Not only can plaster repairs improve efficiency, but they can also reduce strain on your HVAC equipment, potentially saving you money on maintenance and repairs.

Many services include repainting to match the existing surface. Confirm with your provider.

You can skim coat plaster, but it’s better to repair the plaster itself. A skim coat is a thin coat of drywall joint compound spread over the surface of a wall. The result is a flat finish that looks pleasing, but part of the appeal of plaster is its imperfections and aesthetic. Skim coating is best when limited to drywall applications.

It depends on the construction of your wall. Most handypeople can fix small holes in drywall. If your wall is plaster or brick, more significant damage may require a drywall contractor or a mason. Hiring a handyperson costs less than a more specialized type of contractor, but they’re not trained in all types of wall repairs.
