"They were 100% friendly, awesome at what they did with my house remodel, professional in every sense of the word, great to be around, clean cut, and most importantly, explained what they did and how they did it so you as a homeowner knew exactly what happened and what needed to be done to get the project finished. I would recommend 100%. You wonâ t regret it!"

"I really enjoyed meeting and working with Ancient Path Home Repair. Micah was very professional and called to discuss the work prior to him coming to work. We worked well together. He was willing to accommodate me when I changed the scope of the work even though it took him longer. His rate was reasonable. I would definitely contact him again for future work."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Virtually any material in your basement can absorb and hold onto musty odors, including building materials like wood framing, insulation, drywall, and flooring, as well as cloth furniture, clothes, area rugs, cardboard boxes in storage, and more. If you’re looking to get rid of the musty smell in your basement, it’s a good idea to remove or replace these items and address the underlying moisture issue for the fastest results.

Yes, mold under silicone caulk can potentially cause health issues, which may be more noticeable in people with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions. Mold releases spores into the air, and inhaling these spores can cause symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, eye irritation, and skin rashes. It's important to address mold issues promptly to protect your health.

If you have mold under your vinyl flooring, it’s recommended that you have it ripped out and start fresh. Mold isn’t something to take lightly and should involve a visit from a professional who can both test and identify the mold. If you’re determined to remedy it yourself, wear all the proper protective equipment—eye goggles, a high N-rated mask, and long, disposable gloves.

Mold loves a moist environment, so the best way to keep it from returning is to keep your machine as dry as possible. Take laundry out of the machine as soon as you can after a cycle finishes. If your laundry room is humid, consider using a dehumidifier or at least running a fan to increase airflow.

It's also a good idea to leave the washing machine door open when it's not in use, to improve airflow and keep the interior dry.

Mold in a basement is harmful as it can trigger allergy symptoms, especially for those with asthma and other breathing conditions. Symptoms of mold exposure include itching, sneezing, running nose, and congestion.
