"The Gentleman who did our handyman work from Up North did a great job. He was courteous and worked around our busy schedule and finished the work quickly and it looks beautiful. "After providing his estimate to the home owner, she called another plumbing service for the floor drain issue. He came out within a day, found the issue to be that the kitchen pipe was plugged up mostly and this was also making the floor drain clogged with stuff from the kitchen sink. He used a snake and immediately freed the clog from between the kitchen sink pipe and floor drain. After that it drained just fine. And it was only $100 vs $3800+. I emailed DTS afterwards indicating that it was just clogged and no pipes had to be replaced, but he never responded. So I paid for a $69 inspection with a $100 credit toward future repair that I can't use because the inspection was wrong and the home owner wasn't going to have him do the work with the inspection being incorrect. I suppose the $69 I paid is a lot better than if I'd proceeded with his $3800 estimate for a repair that wasn't needed though. Given I know skilled people can make mistakes, even good ones, I'm only making the overall rating as a C."

"Overall, everything went well.  He arrived on time.  He was very conscious about cleaning up after working. The outlet in my garage and the bathroom light fixture were a challenged to install so it took him about 90 minutes to install it. The light fixture needed a box but he managed to run a wire through the dry wall to install without using a box.  He spent about 30 minutes to replace the two electrical boxes which had worn out.
He appeared to be very honest and he did great work.  His prices were reasonable too.

"We bought a house recently. The inspection report called for installation of an expansion tank and lengthened drip leg on the HW heater. Jamison Plumbing had installed the new HW tank several months before for the original home owner. Jason called the City of Liberty to determine the exact code requirements. He called back and agreed to the additional work at no charge. He was able to make the changes in a timely manner. His crew called to say they would be later than planned because of an unexpected delay at the preceding job site. We appreciated his willingness to finish the installation according to code and to cover the additional materials and time. It was a great way to be welcomed into a new community.

"I have 2 rental houses and am not a great plumber myself so I have used probably 5 different ones that I got from Angie?s List. Most of them were very good plumbers but they all drained my pocket book when they were finished and charged outrageous prices for not only parts but a couple charged over $100.00 an hour for their travel to and from my house.  I don?t know about everyone else, but I was tired of getting ripped off by plumbers until Rooter Fast.  I admit, that in my opinion, plumbing is the most difficult skill to learn in the construction industry (anyone who has gone to the Hardware Store to try to even buy plumbing parts will tell you the same) .  But come on, most charge as much as attorneys and doctors.
First Experience
My first experiance with Rooter Fast occurred when tree roots clogged the main drain in one of my rental houses.  I called two different plumbers.  The first tied to use a sewer snake.  They concluded that I needed a new drain line and quoted me $7,100 to install a liner in the drain.  No way I could afford that, so I called the second plumber who actually used a rooter and ran out of rooter line about 100 feet (still had about 30 feet to go the city sewer).  Although he did not get all the way to the city manhole, he was pretty sure I needed a new main also.  They quoted ~$2,500 to dig up and replace the line.
I called Rooter Fast based on Angie?s list recommendations to get another bid for line replacement. When I explained what happened to David Cox of Rooter Fast, he seemed skeptical that I even needed to replace the line.  Said he would come out and look at my house.  He called me the next day and told me that he knows some of the people at the second company and he called them up to discuss my situation.  David said that company #2 would come back and rooter the drain all the way to sewer for an extra $50.00.  They did that and it cleared the drain completely. 
How many plumbers do you know who would do that?  David could have given me an alternate bid to replace the line, or at a minimum, re-rooter the sewer himself.  He also followed up with a phone call to be sure they had taken care of me.  He was more service oriented than both of the other 2 companies and Fast Rotter didn?t even make a dime.  Sure saved me a ton of
money!             
Second Experience
Since e then I have had Rooter Fast to install a drain under my kitchen sink. I got a new sink that is lower than the previous one and Rooter Fast had to cut the vertical main pipe in the wall to make the stub out lower.  The first time David came out he stopped by because we could not use our kitchen sink.  He rigged up a temporary fix for a couple days until they could come back and fixed
it the way he wanted. He also snaked out a bathroom drain.  Did not charge for temp fix on the sink even though he used some of his own parts. They came out a couple days later and fixed the drain to their high standards They also noticed a leak from my dishwasher and redoped the fitting and tightened it up.  They automatically fixed it under the same service call.

"I’ve had Jesse out twice- he secured my undermount sink and caulked it, stabilized a pedestal sink and caulked, caulked a shower, painted an interior window, and helped plan out future project lists to chop away at our “to-do” list. "We had a bit of a rough start: the project was started about a month late. That left me feeling anxious, but I was also in contact with our sales rep Karin, and she always responded to my questions in a timely manner. I have to thank her also for being super patient with all of the questions I texted her over the course of the project, too, she is super! Once the project started, things moved very smoothly. The first team took care of installing all of the studs, drywall, and all the mudding/taping, which went up over about 2 weeks of daily work. They wrapped up with spraying the ceiling with a nice texture. The gentlemen performing the work always cleaned things up when they would leave for the day, and asked questions as needed. Once the first effort completed, the detailing crew took over the day to day work, which included installing the trim, doors, flooring, banister and spindles for the stairs, and took care of the painting. The electrician came on a couple of occasions to handle lights, outlets and the like, and the plumbing work was done toward the end (most of it was already in place, just a matter of redirecting the sink's drain). It took a couple more weeks to wrap up with everything that needed to be finished, including the installation of the new toilet and sink. The only issue we kind of struggled with was sometimes I would ask the crew a question and they had no prior knowledge of some aspect that was supposed to be completed - specifically an access panel to the humidifier behind one of the walls. What I learned though is that the whole team typically had meetings before arriving at the house to discuss the day's tasks, and that if I went to Karin first to ask about something, she would then make sure the crew knew what needed to be done. Once I understood that dynamic, we didn't have any more concerns - just have to be attentive and proactive in reaching out for information. Overall, my husband and I are SUPER happy with the results! We love this new space! Everyone involved in completing the basement remodel was very professional, and honestly they left the basement even cleaner than they found it. We would definitely consider having them over again if we have another remodeling project to complete."

"This review is a long time coming, but it does give me perspective since we have been living with these changes for a while now.The first project was started in late 2013 and finished in  January 2014. It consisted of moving the laundry room to the second floor of our home. The master bedroom is adjoined to the fourth bedroom where we decided to enlarge that room's closet for our washer and dryer, closer to all our bedrooms. The original laundry room was converted to a pantry. The other part of this project was enlarging our master bedroom walk-in closet. It was very narrow and divided into two areas by a wall and door. Young Remodeling managed the project well and had excellent contractors. They provided excellent quality  workmanship in all aspects of the project including extending hardwood flooring into the pantry, tiling the new laundry room floor, installing bi-fold doors, refinishing the ceilings and painting the walls and trim, building the pantry shelves, rerouting electrical and water services to the new laundry location and more. Total cost was about $25,000.
The second project was the kitchen remodel. This project was suppose to start in August 2014, the cabinetry had been received and they were ready to start demolition when a medical issue arose that meant we had to postpone the project. Young was very gracious to hold our new cabinetry in storage until we could restart the project in April, 2015. We had a new kitchen by the end of May. The project consisted of a radically different layout. We worked with Young's designer to come up with a great plan.They provided lots of drawings and paid attention to details to optimize our new kitchen. All of the cabinets were replaced and Young installed all of our new appliances. They re-stained the hardwood floor that extends into our family room. They rewired the kitchen and moved the canned light fixtures to better meet the needs of the new layout and installed our new pendant light fixtures over our new island. They refinished our ceiling, painted and the trim and walls. They figured out the best way to vent the new cook top from it's new location.They installed the new granite counter tops, the new exterior door and a large window. In the family room, in addition to re-staining the hardwood floor, they painted the walls and trim, refinished the ceiling and replace our original wood mantle with a stone mantle. The quality of their work was again outstanding. Both Jenny in the office and Rex in the field were very easy to work with. Rex came back recently(September) and fixed a cabinet problem and converted our pantry shelves from adjustable to fixed, for heavier loading at no charge! Total cost was about $60,000. This did not include the new appliances, window, sink and faucet or pendant light fixtures.
So, now over a 1 1/2 years from the first project and 4 months since the kitchen remodel... we love it all and wouldn't change a thing! We are now working on a list of changes we want to make in other parts of or house and Young Remodeling will be our first choice.
