"Mike and his crew removed my old shrubs in the front of house and replaced them with nice low maintenance shrubs, placed stonework all the way across, and put down river rock. They trimmed the maple tree also. They buried my gutter to drain underground. I had a small brush pile behind my shed that they hauled off for me. They finished all of the work in 1 1/2 days! They were friendly, hard workers! They did a very professional job! I am very pleased with their service!!"

"My project was tricky, what with multiple overhead service lines, out buildings and even a 10x20 storage tent under the hugest tree. Three huge ash bore victims had to be removed all in one day. Super coordinated team accurately placed each branch where they intended, cut, hauled, and chipped. Next day ground the stumps and removed the chips in just a few hours. Highly recommend them! See more at Gilbert’s website."

"Ole Dads came out to Belton to remove and prune a few trees on my property. They had a reasonable quote for the service, as well as being able to take care of me as soon as I confirmed the bid! They were prompt and efficient, as well as taking my brush pile for free! Would absolutely recommend to anyone! Great service and cleanup! 5/5 ⭐️"

"From start to finish, never a problem. Diana & her Mom came to give me a bid & the crew came the next day. Reviewed pictures taken by Diana to confirm exactly what we wanted done, & I hardly knew they were here. Reviewed work done before payment. All of them were so nice & professional. Work was exactly to my specifications, work area was cleaned to a whistle AND there was no damage to my existing gardens. Will; definitely use them again."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

There are several ways to dispose of excess sod, including building a compost pile, taking it to a green waste disposal facility, donating the sod, or reusing it in another part of your yard. It’s a good idea to check with your local municipality to see how to get rid of yard waste, as some areas have local regulations on what can go in the green waste bin. For example, your recycling services may reject too much soil added to green waste.

Alternatives to a dumpster include junk removal services and dumpster bags. These are good options if you have limited space and can’t fit a dumpster on your property or if a dumpster isn’t available. You can also take smaller loads of waste to a disposal facility yourself if you have a vehicle that can fit your items.

Skunks like to forage for grubs in the soil, like worms and insects, but they are also tempted by trash and pet food bowls, so keeping these items out of sight may help keep skunks away. Skunks also like to set up a den in dark places, such as a crawl space or outbuilding.

While you don’t need to put anything down before mulch, you can apply a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent weed growth. As long as you remove weeds before you spread mulch, you should be in the clear. But a herbicide is something that you can put down before mulch as an extra layer of protection.

Yes, you can conduct your own leaf removal, but consider that keeping up with leaf removal is time-consuming and requires regular yard work throughout the fall. The process can take a few hours a week. Professionals have lawn equipment that can speed up the process and save you time. Additionally, consider how you’ll dispose of the leaves. If your sanitation company won’t pick them up—especially if you have many bags from a once-annual cleanup— you’ll have to drive the bags to the dump. It’s usually easier to leave the work and disposal to a professional leaf removal service.
