We had to redo the whole chimney the next year. They got paint all over. I’m not very happy with them. They weren’t very professional.

They have done a wonderful job. The ceiling in the kitchen was especially difficult because of patch work in the dry wall. These guys came back several times to see that it was done right. We could not have been happier with their work.

Everyone at CertaPro Painters were very professional including the person who scheduled the work, the estimator, and the painters. They did a great job on my house, including clauking windows where needed, helping me select colors, and design ideas. They repaired wood rot in a couple of areas. The job was completed for the amount of the estimate with no additional costs. I especially appreciated the painters working Saturday to complete the job, as rain was forecast for the next week. They kept me informed of the progress of the work during the job. I would use CertaPro Painters again and would recommend them to others.

I didn't think they took care of the details. I spotted some things that were not done. The owner actually came out and he saw the work. It was not completed. He said it was unacceptable so he called them back out. They were called out twice. They didn't cover a lamp of ours. On the second visit, he had them clean that lamp and it was okay. They painted some areas that they missed. I appreciated the owner for coming out and really checking. They really cared about the customer service when he came out. It was a Hispanic crew so there was a communication barrier at times. He did a good job. The owner explained sometimes they have the production crew and they have craftsmen crew so I guess I got the production crew. I liked their customer service.

FAST!  Wow, showed up on Monday to power wash and by Wednesday afternoon they were done.  Very polite and did a great job.  The house looks awesome.  Taped all the windows and fixtures and deck and sprayed away.  We were very impressed.  If we'd done it ourselves, it would have taken us all summer and we'd have croaked in the heat besides.

CertaPro was one of several painting companies I contacted to bid on painting the exterior of my home. All of them have favorable ratings on Angie's List and all responded promptly and professionally with close bids. All had done exterior house painting within my neighborhood and had good reviews. What impressed me most about CertaPro was that the estimator, Stephen, took the time to get acquainted with the project, discuss the steps and process for the work, the products used and the method for applying the paint to achieve the best result for my home. He pointed out the repairs that needed to be done and offered some suggestions for using different types of resources for color selection. He seemed genuinely interested in doing the work as well as being very customer satisfaction oriented. Once the prep was completed, Mark, the owner came by personally to talk about a stucco repair that required some extra work. Mark seemed very knowledgeable and interested in getting everything done correctly. He even worked with the paint supplier to tweak the color a bit to get it just right for me before it went on the house. The painters were very polite and hard working, cleaning up after themselves as they went. The team lead met with me at the end of each day to inspect the work and answer any questions I may have had. The few minor touch-ups were taken care of in a timely manner except for one small item they will follow up on . The house looks great with its fresh paint and I really appreciate the high level of attention to customer service received from Stephen, Mark and their team at CertaPro. I feel confident this team would do an excellent job for any painting services they provide.

We were very pleased with the quality of the work provided, and the courtesy/professionalism of the team members involved.  We also felt good about the value of the work performed, as the bid price was very competitive as compared to other bids received from other service providers.

After the work was done, we identified a handful of issues that required some follow up attention.  Our primary contact came over and walked through the issues with me, and gave me every indication that the follow-up work would be completed in a reasonable period of time.

As of the writing of this review, the additional work has not been completed ... despite two vigilant attempts to contact the company and express my hope that the work will be completed as requested.  We weren't even left with any extra paint, which our contractor promised to provide.

I guess my hope was that the work would be completed without a lot of hassle, particularly since I paid (in full) the balance due soon after the original work was completed. Clearly I should've only paid a percentage of the balance, since that may have actually encouraged the completion of the follow up work ... I'll know better next time.

We were very pleased with the quality of the work completed, but will likely NOT recommend CertaPro given the issues we've experienced after the work was completed.

Rain delays, not their fault, I bought all the paint separate from the contract price. Workers were very good and detailed and Mike Kay oversaw the work and will work with you on what you want done. They spray and then roll or brush and then over spray again. They use your electric and water and their supplies cover the rest. I used behr paint for the first time and the finished results were very good. Time will tell the rest of the story. I found these guys with Angie's list and the job was done very well.

Professional Quality Painting  - interior and exterior. They also do decks and building repairs as well as basement finishing.

The project started on time November 3rd. However, once the painters arrived at the job it was apparent that they did not expect what they walked into. They were obviously not on the same page as with what was proposed and sold. One remark was "Lord have Mercy" when they saw our kitchen. They indicated that CertaPro had only done a few of cabinet jobs and but never used white paint.  I was told by Steven, the cabinet doors would be removed and sprayed at the shop and brought back. The painters said no they don't do that. The painters also indicated that the job could be done as promised  but thought they may have to roll indicating more time and material. We were also told on that morning that we needed a change order to caulk the cabinets as that was not included in their job. Kevin and Kenny worked with Chris and resolved the issue. As the paint job started they had a hard time getting the paint to stick to the drawers facing as it was sliding off. We were told "The sprayer was on the wrong setting". On the afternoon of November 3rd, I spoke to Stephen on the phone about an issue where the painters told us they needed a change order to caulk cabinets. Stephen's tone was loud and irritable as well as defensive. I explained to him it was more of an issue of protocol and pointed out requested changes should be addressed with him and not us, the customer.  After the above problems  our confidence in the product and application was questioned. We decided to cancel the  Break-Through paint job for our sliding door that was also in the contract. When I returned from a week of travel, on Thursday night  November 6th, my roommate who has been handling this with me beginning to end, described to me how the paint didn't stick to the hinges and she had been trying to resolve with the crew on available options. She went on to describe a particularly difficult conversation with Stephen. The morning of November 6th, Stephen came out scanned the cabinets, said they "looked good" and when the hinges were brought up Stephen became defensive and unnecessarily raised his voice. He pointed out the hinges were not in the contract and we were not charged for them. "How would we know how your contracts should be written?" ( We discussed hinges from the first meeting and that was always the plan). Our options were told to us that they could be removed, dipped and replaced or we could buy white hinges and they would put them on. Furthermore, several times Stephen said he was not buying us white hinges. To that point we never asked for him to do so.  This went on and on, another comment of note from Stephen " hey since you didn't paint the door  you have money to buy hinges". This experience is not a 5 star rating. Simply and quite frankly because of the unprofessionalism of Stephen Crouch. His customer service and sales skills do not represent  Certa-Pro as stated.CUSTOMER SERVICE COMMITMENT: The goal for this job is to provide the best customer experience possible. This is accomplished by being friendly and courteous, by making the client feel part of the process with daily updates and excellent communication, by doing things right the first time, and by respecting your property and your home. We recognize that we are guests.I am a very understanding person and know jobs wont always go smoothly or even perfect however service...excellent service is extremely important in todays competitive market.  Note:  Chris, the job manager, Kevin and Kenny were always respectful and accommodating. 
Follow up: The owner did call me after I sent the above email. Of course after the check was collected and paid in full. We discussed the job. Mark told me that there are "two truths" Stephen's and mine. I did remind him of the basics of customer service and that was not an appropriate response to a customer complaint. Mark admitted that was wrong. He also said that Stephen was in need of Conflict resolution training.

Stephen came out for the initial look.  We determined the colors and accepted the bid.  It was to be a month or so before they could begin, but because of scheduling changes it was much sooner.  They started by power washing the house.  I was introduced to the team that was going to be doing the work.  The crew cleaned up after themselves every day.  I had some extra trim painted that warranted a change order and increased the cost.  I was provided an update on a daily basis.  There were some problems with the soffits that I didn't notice, and I had the crew repair that as well.
Overall, it took 5 days to do the work, including the power washing the first day.  We are very pleased with the result and are happy with the professionalism of the crew.

They ruined my entire living room. I bought a house and wanted to repaint it. They didn’t even bother to put on a primer. They just came in and started painting. I called the boss and he was patted me on the head. His did not speak English and nor did they have professional tools. I was having major health issues. I didn’t feel like fighting. I have a living room and a hallway that are making me disgusted every time I looked at them. They were unprofessional. I am still scraping up. Although they made a big show of cleaning up after they got out. I am totally dissatisfied. I will never use them again.

"I am the owner and personally inspected the project. Ms. [member name removed] was not happy with the work done part way through the project but we were not finished, but to satisfy her we repainted some areas that were already completed. This is the first I am hearing of her dissatisfaction since we were part way through the project. With the lack of comments I can't really tell what she believes is wrong. I know one of the things during the project she was not overly happy with was our ability to match a paint color from a picture on her iPad, but it is nearly impossible to get a color exact from a digital image."
