The job was finished on time and I love it. We have gotten so much enjoyment out of this room, from family dinners to entertaining guest.
I would call them again if I had another project
"We sincerely apologize that your experience was not to your satisfaction. We at Brown remodeling & Restoration strive to treat every client the same and have stellar results. Anyone who has ever had remodeling work completed or is in the industry knows that even when we try to have a project go without error or hiccup, this does not always come to fruition. Though the end result of the interaction was not ideal (for both parties), the client is failing to mention many extenuating factors the made up the sum of the projects. The client, due to budget constraints opted to only due a portion of the proposed fix in his bathroom. He chose to leave the existing cast iron tub and subfloor and only replace the tile and substrate that makes up the tub surround, this is further substantiated by the dollar amount in the homeowners submission. This limits our ability to level the tile and substrate where it meets the tub surface or adjust any framing defection as needed. On any tile shower the inside corners will always need to be caulked either by a silicone based product or grout caulking to match the selected grout. The homeowner requested that no silicone be used due to possible mildew behind the silicone, so we opted to use a matching grout caulk to industry standard. We were called out to re-caulk the inside corners, which is very common in an older home due to structure movement whether it be a shower or back splash. A mark of a good company is not whether errors, warranties or product failure happens, rather when and if it does, do they show up to fix and repair in which we did and always will. As a homeowner would you invite a company back for a second project if the initial was so unpleasant? The second project was to remove and replace a rear entry door. Against our advice, the homeowner opted to measure and order the door unit his self to obtain a personal discount he had available from the supplier. On two separate occasions, two of our carpenters arrived to pick up the unit for install and on both occasions the unit was the wrong size, even after us giving the homeowner and supplier the exact size needed. We had a total of eight man hours involved in the errors at no cost to the homeowner and in fact completed wood rot repair next to the door at no cost as well. It was only after the second mis-order on behalf of the homeowner/supplier that the contract was cancelled. We sometimes find ourselves in a situation where the ideal repair cannot be completed due to budget issues or homeowner resistance and we are forced to complete the repairs with the best possible solution staying within the parameters set forth by the homeowner. Unfortunately, not all clients can be pleased or convinced to take our advice or let us do our job in the manner we see fit, so we have to work with what we are given. It is never the goal any company to have an unhappy client and we try diligently to avoid that at all cost. With a little more openness to the circumstances at hand and flexibility in the parameters we were given, I am certain things would have turned out better for both parties. Again, we apologize that your experience was not to your liking. Kind Regards, Brown Remodeling & Restoration."

after work to a flooded basement, water pouring out everywhere. (I had the city come out and do a meter read, to discover I had about a month's worth of water flood my basement within one day!) I called my insurance company, and they suggested Service Master or Service Pro. I called and left messages with both companies (received their call backs within 2-3 days). This was an urgent matter, and needed someone asap so a family member suggested I call Brown Restoration. I called about 7pm, and Lead Wendell was at my house within 30 minutes! Typically, his water extraction contractors would have made the house
call, but they were experiencing a high volume of calls due to busted frozen pipes (this winter has been brutal!) So Wendell got up from the dinner table and headed straight over. He quickly assessed the situation and got installed a shut off, so I could turn the water back on to the house. This saved me from having to be put up in a hotel for the night. He removed selected pieces of furniture I wanted to try and save, and placed them in my garage for safe keeping. First thing the next morning contractors were at my house, pulling up the carpet/padding, drilling holes in the drywall, did some ceiling tear out, and brought in several fans and dehumidifiers. They ran the machines for 8 days, and then did a moisture reading to ensure everything was sufficiently dry before removing the equipment.
I expected a quality job at a price I could afford. What I received was that
and much more! The quality, communication and execution by far exceeded every
expectation I had. Thanks Brown!!

areas as needed. In addition, the crew leader found some damaged tiles on my concrete-composite roof. Because those tiles are no longer manufactured, he made the effort to find the closest matching tiles available. Overall I had a good experience with Brown. I have a major siding repair job ahead -- finances permitting -- and I will turn to them first. I recommend them fully.
"Thank you for the nice comments Member. I hope all is well with your family and that you have a great holiday season. Please let us know if we can help with anything else or if you know someone who might need some thing done arround there home or office. Thanks again, Wendall"
