"I could not be happier with the final product! The first pic is the old bathroom from the 60s when the house was built. The rest are the final rebuild and it looks great. I would highly recommend VMK Remodeling for any project that you might have. I am also going to get a bid on redoing the deck on the back of the house as Vince's company does decks as well! Thanks to his great crew as well, great people to work with."

"Meyer construction did everything for me. They smoothed out my yard, removed a lot of brush, put down a few inches of dirt, and then laid the sod all for a reasonable amount! I would definitely use them again! Job well done. Very friendly to work with also. You will not go wrong with using this company!"

"We received four bids to replace our asphalt driveway with poured concrete. Although Castle wasn't the lowest bid we received, we felt comfortable with Kevin and decided to hire his company. The work was delayed due to weather (the amount of rain we received in the St. Louis area in the Spring 2019 was horrible), but once it did begin, we were very happy. The crew was professional and did everything it could to avoid blocking traffic. The foreman communicated with us throughout, making sure we were happy with how the progress was going. The look of the driveway is fantastic, and the water flows away from the house towards the rain and street. Kevin, the owner, was communicative and always responded to texts and emails within 24 hours. Very satisfied."

"They showed up early in the morning to start removing all the old concrete. I went to work and by the time I got home they had already poured the driveway and they were finishing the garage floor. Highly recommend. Professional, fast and great quality work"

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

The easiest way to handle extra-wet cement is to pour it, let it harden, and then recycle it using one of the methods above. You can also crush it down and sell it for base materials, although this can be pretty time-consuming. Your best bet is to start with less concrete than you need and make more as you go to avoid this problem.

Yes, you can grind concrete by hand, but it’s typically known as sanding concrete when done with a hand grinder. Additionally, you should only use this method if you’re working on a smaller area, like a countertop, rounding an edge, removing imperfections, or doing a spot repair versus a driveway or patio.

Minor hairline cracks in your concrete may not look pretty, but they’re often not serious. It’s when concrete cracks are larger—wide enough that you can slide a credit card into it—that you need to worry. If you monitor a crack and can trace its active expansion over time, you’ll definitely want to call in a pro to inspect it and, potentially, repair it. Want to prevent cracks in your garage and driveway concrete in the future? Stay on top of sealing. Here’s how to seal your concrete garage floor and driveway.

The best—and most popular—time of year to resurface a concrete driveway is the late spring. Concrete damage often peaks in the winter as the ground freezes and thaws. Waiting until late spring allows the ground to soften fully, so you don't run the risk of more damage from a sudden cold snap.

You can pour concrete over existing concrete and then stamp it to create an overlay. The old concrete must be prepared correctly for the new concrete to adhere properly and create a strong, stable surface. Stamping the new concrete creates a patterned finish that adds visual interest and an upscale feel.
