"They were responsive to every call, did the work professionally and cleaned up nicely. We would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. We had two leaning columns in the back yard that are now straight and piered so they will never shift again. They then removed a large area of cracked cement and relayed. It looks fantastic!

"Perma Jack recently installed a perimeter drain system in my basement. As an interior designer I have worked with many different contractors on projects large and small. They are absolutely one of the best contractors that I have ever worked with. The office staff, salesperson and crew are all polite, responsive and professional. This was a big job that involved using jack hammers to break out concrete and what seemed like an endless parade of wheelbarrows hauling new concrete back in. There were no surprises, the job started and finished when they said it would and they left my basement looking great. I would highly recommend Perma Jack of st louis."

"The owner of the company contacted me and we set up an appointment to evaluate the work to be done. He promptly scheduled an appointment, which was less than a week from the initial inspection. He and his crew arrived as scheduled and began work immediately. It was obvious they had been working as a team for a long time. They each performed their specific tasks, with efficiency and precision. They completed the mudjacking of my driveway, the replacement of part a patio, and a major crack repair in my garage floor...all in one day. They also returned at least once, to tweak their work after it dried. I would gladly use them again for any concrete repair or replacement."

"Very professional, high quality job done. We had Ross Contractors excavate and level our business's back yard to turn it into a gravel lot and the end result was a beautiful, well-packed gravel lot that got plenty of compliments from the neighbors."

"Great! Jon-Paul and Brian were great to work with. They were extremely knowledgeable regarding hail damage and insurance claims. Both were very helpful with this process. The workers were very hard working young men. Very polite and professional. Before they started tearing the roof off, they covered both decks to protect our patio furniture. After the job was completed, they cleaned up everything. Looked awesome! My husband was also very happy with the job they did with the flashing around the fire place. I would recommend to anyone needing a new roof. Thank you so much for a job well done!"

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of mudjacking is around $5 per square foot of concrete, with most concrete leveling jobs totaling between $3 and $8 per square foot. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.
In most cases, no, mudjacking is not possible as a DIY job. Not only do you need specialized equipment to cut into your slab and pump the cementitious material underneath it, but it’s also a challenging process, and the consequences of making mistakes include additional structural damage to your home. It’s possible to rent mudjacking equipment to attempt a DIY repair, but the risk of added property damage usually isn’t worth the money you’ll save on labor, especially if the concrete you’re lifting is a part of your home’s foundation.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
