The Grounds Guys of Union

I wish I had read these reviews before hiring The Ground Guys of Union. They did do what they were hired to do, however, the price was way above the original estimate. When I called in July to discuss my concerns, they never returned my call. I call again two weeks later and still no response. After waiting two full months I decided to write this review and let people know about them and their lack of concern with their customers. Needless to say their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Although Jeff was very nice and friendly when he was here, after my frustration with the price and no return calls, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

They did a horrible job. I had to have them come out 3 times to get the yard cut level, and they had horrible customer service. I would never use them again. They need to slow down and cut the grass level. Their whole business is landscaping and they couldn't cut the grass. Then when I told them that I was unhappy with the way it looked, he said he would be happy to come out and do it again. And then came back out and when I told him it still looks really bad, he said well your grass really isn't good grass so there's not much more we can do. I said I've cut it myself and it looks better than this. He said well than maybe you should just do that. I would tell other people to just keep looking for somebody else.

House looks great at night. When lights stopped working I just gave them a call and they fixed it in a few business days.

They did a very good job mowing during the year and a good job leaf clean-up. Fast response.

The manager was extremely professional, gave us an estimate and when the
work was done the cost was a little less than his estimate. His work
was thorough, they cleaned up after the work, and we then started using
them weekly for our general lawn maintenance. His staff is very good and complete their
job within a reasonable amount of time.

I have nothing bad to say about the Grounds Guys of Union. This was a big project and I am completely satisfied with the results and services. I called lots of landscape companies in my area to try and compare and was most impressed by professional and helpful the receptionist was and by their 3 hour callback guarantee. They came out to give me an estimate and I was happy with their honesty and professionalism when answering all of my questions. They didn't turn out to be the lowest bid I received, but their price wasn't far off from the others and I felt I would be getting the most bang for my buck. I was happy with their services throughout the entire project, but I was incredibly impressed when we ran into some unanticipated complications. While digging to lay the patio they found some underground concrete from an old foundation I had no previous knowledge of. This had to be removed to complete the project. I was home that day and knew it had taken at least a full day with a four-man crew plus equipment to remove so I was pretty nervous about all that extra work and expanses it would most likely entail. Closer to the end the project manager sat down and walked me through the work so far and the complications. I was really impressed by how honest and up front the company was about what had happened and the added cost (which was nowhere near what I expected!) My patio is awesome, looks great, and provides a great place for my family to gather and entertain. I will most definitely be using this company for any future services they can provide me. I would give my 100% satisfaction and recommendation for anyone else needing all types of landscape service in the Union/Franklin County area.

Called them on Tuesday afternoon, got a call back that evening. Someone came out the next day and gave me an estimate. The work began the following Wednesday and was done the same day. It was a small job so it really didn't take long. The designer really helped me to find blocks that worked well with my current landscaping and also helped me chose the right plants for my yard.
Overall a very positive experience.
