"Paul was very punctual and professional when he came over to give me an estimate. He kept constant communications throughout the progress of the project and completed in the time that he estimated. He took the time to show me what I needed to know about the new door he installed and how to operate the springs. He also made sure to buy all the parts including a lock that I didn't know I needed so I wouldn't have to go back to the hardware store later and have to deal with an incomplete project. I'm very glad I had Paul working on my Storm Door installation."

"Brian did such an amazing job! We hired him on two occasions. The first was to install a faucet in our new home and about a year later Brian helped us install an in-wall AC unit in our sunroom after our original one died unexpectedly. He showed up on time, is reasonably priced and seems very knowledgeable and experienced in home improvement and maintenance issues. He also has a great attitude. Would definitely use him again and you should too!"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.

It depends on your budget and cooling needs. Whole-house fans keep your home breezy by pulling in cool air and pushing out hot air. In places with milder climates, they can replace air conditioning. On the other hand, Attic fans focus on keeping your attic cool—not your entire house. Often, whole-house fans cost more than attic fans, with installation ranging from $600 to $3,600.

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.

Yes, you can oil an electric fan with machine or motor oil but don’t use cooking oil because it can become thick or seize up, damaging the fan. Before oiling your fan, turn it off and remove any dust and debris. Wipe away any excess lubricant after oiling.

Exhaust fans push air out of spaces, removing moisture, heat, odors, and pollutants. They vent air outside through ducts, preventing mold and improving air quality. Unlike ventilation fans, which circulate fresh air in and out, exhaust fans focus solely on expelling unwanted indoor air.
