"We had a sprinkler system installed by Go Green Lawn & Sprinklers last week. We are still in awe of how incredible it is.  No more watering, moving around sprinklers, etc., etc.  From start to finish, this has been a great experience!  While checking around and getting bids, we were lucky enough to find Joe at Go Green Lawn & Sprinklers. He came to our home, surveyed our property, answered all of our questions (and then some) and we knew that he was the man/company for the job.  His team worked so hard to get the job done professionally and efficiently.  Once the job was completed, Joe came out again to go over everything with us, he checked to make sure everything was in order (which it was), helped us set up the app and the zones correctly, along with every little intricacy that goes along with a system like this.  He also took the time to once again answer all of our questions. We are so happy that Go Green installed our new sprinkler system.  We absolutely love it and would highly recommend them!!  Thank you, Joe!!"

"Took four of us 20 minutes to clear away some junk which would have taken all weekend by myself. Then they graded away weeds and organic garden debris and leaves. Then they leveled out fresh top soil and provided proper grading for drainage. Then they laid and watered fresh dormant fescue sod, and gave me instructions for care. Worth every penny, took thier 4 man crew 6 hours to do a job which would have taken me a lifetime"

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

It is not recommended to mow wet grass, including grass with morning dew. Mowing when wet can damage your lawn, your mower, and potentially cause injury. Wet grass blades are more likely to be torn rather than cut cleanly, which can lead to brown tips and increase the risk of fungal diseases. Additionally, wet clippings can clump together, smothering the grass underneath, and can clog your mower. For best results, wait until the grass is dry to the touch, which is often about two hours after morning dew has evaporated. Regular lawn mower maintenance is also important for a clean cut.

Mow your lawn once a week during the growing season. This keeps your grass healthy and prevents weeds from establishing.

There are a few ways to fix your lawn on a budget, including:

  • Identify the lawn care problem and learn how to seed, fertilize, and aerate your lawn.

  • Reseed old, damaged lawn with new grass that fares better in your environment.

  • Remove grass from your yard so you no longer need to worry about lawn care costs.

To prepare your lawn for core aeration, water it the day before you aerate. (Alternatively, you can wait until it rains and aerate the following day.) Aerating after watering or a rainy day will make the process easier since you can penetrate moist soil better than dry soil. You should also flag your sprinklers so that you don’t accidentally hit them while aerating. If you have a lot of thatch buildup in your yard, you might need to dethatch your lawn before aerating as well.

In general, expect to mulch your leaves about once or twice every fall. You want there to be a decent amount of leaves on the ground, but not too much where it’s difficult for the mower to cut through.
