"Go Green Lawn & Sprinklers was prompt in responding to my request for service. Communication was excellent. The technician who repaired our sprinkler system is knowledgeable and helpful. The price was reasonable for services performed. I recommend this company and would consider hiring them again."

"I hired them to Detach and Areate my lawn. They even cut my lawn for me before the Detaching and Areating. Even raked up the dead grass debris. Very good job. I will be using them in the future, especially when spring arrives."

Small jobs welcome

"Very prompt in getting a good estimate to me. Did careful personal inspection of my lawn and garden. Did a superb job cutting the grass and bagging cut grass, cleaning up. My yard has never looked so good! I highly recommend Josh and his company Epic Lawn."

"Prior lawn service did not show up this year. By the time I found out, my yard should have been mowed at least twice. Josh with Lawn View called me within minutes. He was out the next day to mow and trim. As high as the grass was prior to Lawn View's service, the yard looked great after Lawn View's service. Grass was evenly cut with virtually no cut grass lumped laying on top; so no worry about cut grass killing my lawn!"

"I found that their work was quality and the communication exercise by Nick was appreciated. I received several quotes ahead of our sprinkler installation and they were competitive. Ryan lawn and garden was about four times as expensive. Not really sure why."

Customers say: Quick response

"Top notch-perfect. Patrick was very professional, courteous & very friendly. I have had several companies mow my lawn and none have done as good a job as Patrick. He is very reliable, comes by every 3 days to see if my lawn needs mowed; I've never had to call him to mow. Compared to others, he has the best price. I highly recommend him to others needing a lawn expert"

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Ticks prefer tall grass and seek out shady and moist areas. So, in some instances a no-mow lawn may increase tick population in your yard. This scenario is not ideal if you spend lots of time in your yard or if you have pets. If you spray pesticide then this can also harm the pollinators. However, you can make a DIY tick killer with more natural ingredients to avoid using toxic chemicals.

You can mow the grass when it’s dry to the touch, usually between 2 and 5 hours if it was a light rainfall or morning dew. If the rainfall was significant, you may need to wait up to 2 days until the grass is dry. Touch the grass and soil to determine if it’s dry. Be sure to check in shady areas too, as those can take longer to dry out.

On average, lawn stripes will last about two weeks. This timeline gives you plenty of elbow room to perfect your skills since your designs will always fade if you’re unhappy with the results. For best results and to keep your grass healthy, change the direction of each stripe every two weeks.

Most businesses schedule services weekly or biweekly to maintain a professional appearance and healthy lawn.

Carpetgrass is distinguishable by its pale green to yellowish color and coarse appearance that grows well under shady conditions in poor and compact soils. If it grows uncontrolled, it tends to develop a hairy seedhead, giving patches of grass a messy appearance. If carpetgrass is regularly cut, it looks very similar to centipedegrass and St. Augustine grass, and people may confuse them. Carpetgrass blades are flat and rounded at the tip. Note that the grass only typically grows as a weed in Southern states.
