We’re ST. Louis local hardwood floor specialist. Our team specializes in wood floor installation, hardwood floor refinishing and wood floor repairs . We are with our customer from the beginning and you will never lose us because we stick by and make shore they are always taking care of. We ask for no money up front we get paid once the customer is happy. That's right we know our work is top of the line and we don't mind proving it each and every job.

"the total bid was 3,600 for approx. 860sqft. i tore out one room and they refinished it. it looked good except it was incomplete. they said they would finish and do the rest of the house. then the delays started. First truck broke down. he asked for 550 for the incomplete room so he could fix truck. then, a machine broke down, then a week of personal problems, then a death of a co-workers brother. total of 4 weeks. numerous calls to them, no return calls. left us living in half a house waiting for them to act."

Without walls, other options to quiet an open space are to add noise-dampening materials like rugs, carpets, curtains, and soft furniture. These can act as a barrier to block and absorb sound. More expensive alternatives include acoustic panels, room dividers and temporary walls, and more advanced soundproofing.

For rooms with an even number of feet (10 x 12, for example), you can technically just multiply them together to get the number of square feet in the room (10 feet x 12 feet = 120 sq. ft.). For irregularly shaped rooms or areas that aren’t even square feet, converting to inches will be your best bet for an accurate measurement.

Laminate flooring should be stacked horizontally and laid flat to avoid any warping or stress to the boards. To stack it, you should do so in a grid with each row of flooring packages positioned at a 90-degree angle to the layer beneath it. This will provide the best support so the flooring will not sag in the middle.

It’s better to lift and set down furniture; sliding it across the floor is more likely to cause damage to both the floor and the furniture itself. For very heavy items, consider using a dolly with rubber wheels. It is possible to purchase sliders designed specifically for gliding furniture across floors, but you still risk causing permanent damage to flooring if you use them.

Stretching a carpet should be a one-time job. If by re-stretching you mean doing it a second (or third) time, it’s probably better to replace it altogether. Most carpets are expected to last anywhere from five to 15 years, so if it’s past that timeframe, you may want to shop around for a new one.
