"Mike and his team did a stellar job! My new patio extension looks incredible! Mike showed up on time as promised and was very efficient and does amazing work. He originally told me he wouldn’t. be able to get me in until mid July but was able to squeeze me in 3 weeks ahead of schedule without me even asking. Now I can enjoy my patio for the July 4th weekend! I have some other concrete work that needs to be completed and I’ll definitely look to hire Mike and his team again. Highly recommend!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

Yes, it can be worth screening a porch if you live in an area with beautiful weather, since it allows you to enjoy your outdoor space longer in the spring and summer. The additional protected space may even attract more prospective buyers if you intend to sell—especially if you add seasonal features, like a ceiling fan for summer or a heater to winterize your screened porch.

The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.

With proper maintenance, the average life span of a screened-in porch is six to eight years for the screens themselves, but the foundation and structure can last for 50 to 100 years. To keep your screened-in porch in good shape, clean your porch screens regularly, patch holes, re-seal the wood as needed, and address any foundational issues right away.

In most cases, you can attach a greenhouse to any type of house. However, certain factors need to be considered, such as the structural integrity of the house, available space, and local building regulations. You should consult with a professional contractor or architect to assess the feasibility and ensure proper construction methods.

Yes, transforming a deck into a sunroom is an absolute possibility. Building a sunroom involves framing in the deck area with walls, adding windows, and affixing a roof. This project is not an easy task, but it does provide a stylish addition to your house. Not all deck designs support this type of renovation project, so consult a professional deck builder before beginning.
