"I hired them to remove a hanging tree branch tangled in power lines and while they were there to get the debris pile out of my yard. They had a low bid and they were able to get to me the same day! They told me they also do landscaping. I’ll probably be hiring them again in the future. Oh, and they didn’t just get the debris pile, they raked all the sticks up from the whole yard!"

"Marvin and his team were great. They came out for a quote and gave us a very fair price for the job we needed done. We had difficulty finding a company to do the job and Marvin was so nice and professional and actually came out later the same day to get the job done. They were extremely thorough and their work was absolutely top notch. Thanks so much Marvin and team!"

Mulch and Topsoil questions, answered by experts

To reduce landscaping costs, you can implement several strategies at every stage. Consider doing the work yourself (DIY) to save on professional labor fees. You can also repurpose existing features and materials from other home projects. When purchasing new items, choose more inexpensive materials and opt for softscaping over hardscaping where possible. Another effective method is to buy young plants or plant from seed, which is more cost-effective than purchasing mature plants.

Rubber mulch costs an average of $90 per yard to replace, or $4 per foot. Costs vary based on the quality of the rubber mulch, manufacturer prices, and the cost of delivery and installation labor to lay it down. Consult a local mulch professional for a price quote on your specific installation project.

Mulching any time of year can attract termites, so there’s no added risk in the fall. The important thing to remember is that termites are attracted to rotting wood, so you need to lay a thin enough layer that won’t trap too much moisture and lead to rotting. A layer between 1 and 4 inches thick should provide all the benefits you’re looking for without attracting termites.

You should exercise care when deciding how to landscape over a leach field for your septic system. You typically want lightweight materials that won’t damage the drain field’s perforated pipes. When adding plants to the area, select plants with shallow roots, such as grass or flower gardens. Trees with deep roots could damage the pipes in the field.

Yes. One of the main benefits of organic mulch is weed prevention. Organic mulch forms a physical barrier that blocks light and stops weeds from germinating. It can reduce your need to weed and improve the physical appearance of your garden.
