"Very well. It went exactly as Kevin suggested it would go. Fortunately there was only one animal to remove. A second trap was provided and monitored for 4 days. No animal went into it and there was no additional cost for the second trap."

"Did an excellent job of sealing up the house. Could not install the one-way vents until after August 15 due to protection for the bats during the breeding season. Will return after that date and finish the job. He only charged for the work that was completed. My neighbor had used him in the past and was well pleased."

"Great job - came out in a timely manner, located and plugged the openings, installed an exit for the bats. When they were gone, he came back, removed the exit and plugged the hole; the multi year guarantee is nice and he already came back when i thought the bats were back (nope, chimney swifts, chimney cap ordered). Highly recommend."

Small jobs welcome

"We had the team check our house to make sure we didn’t have bats since two of our neighbors did. Thankfully, they did not find any current bats in our house, but apparently did have a few at one time. They did find evidence of mice/rodent in the attic. So they put out appropriate measures for that. They also reviewed our insulation and noticed that it was quite light in areas. It will be coming back to actually put in new insulation for us. They were very friendly and very hard workers. They took their time, checking the house to make sure there weren’t any holes that bats could come in since the neighbors had a maternal population of bats. They took excellent photos/videos of things they found and showed it to us. Offered to help me carrying my groceries when I return from Sam’s Club. Just a super nice crew. Thanks so much team. We really appreciate it and we look forward to seeing you when you put in the new insulation!"

"John was very professional and efficient. He was able to get to us fairly quickly. He explained what he needed to do and approximately how long it would take. He also came back a few weeks later and cleaned and sanitized the area, which was helpful to my husband and I."

"My service pro is Vince. I have lived at my current address for about 5 years and during this time, I have used several different pest control providers. Vince, with O.C.D Pest Solutions provided the most comprehensive initial pest control treatment I have ever seen. I always pay close attention to workmanship during the first few appointments and I must say; I have never seen a technician extend a wand to the eaves on my home and remove all of the spider webs. He also located and destroyed all of the wasp nests that were on my home. While treating he took the time to explain in detail all of the treatments and what I can expect from each. Hands down the most comprehensive pest control treatment that I have ever had. Finding a company that genuinely thrives on helping others and solving problems is not easy these days! Look no further, I highly recommend O.C.D Pest Solutions."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Raccoons are more social than badgers. Badgers are solitary creatures, with the exceptions being mating season and rearing their young. Raccoons are more adaptable and often found in groups, especially in urban areas. Raccoons form loose social structures and frequently forage together and share dens. This social behavior helps them thrive in diverse environments, from forests to cities.

Groundhogs are most active during the warmer months, from spring through fall. On a daily basis, they exhibit peak activity in the early morning (dawn) and late afternoon (dusk), which are their primary feeding times. They tend to stay in their cool burrows during the hottest, sunniest parts of the day. Groundhogs hibernate during the winter, typically retreating to their dens from October or November until mid to late February.

Fencing is one of the most effective ways to keep deer out of your garden, but there are other ways to keep deer away. You could put together a homemade deer repellent mixture using household items that deer hate. Mix hot sauce, garlic powder, liquid dish soap, and water in a spray bottle and spray it onto your plants. It won’t harm your garden or any animals but it will deter deer from chowing down. You can also plant your garden strategically by creating a perimeter of plants that deer don’t like to eat, herbs like oregano, mint, sage, and thyme.

Foxes hate strong scents and sudden disturbances. They dislike the smell of ammonia, vinegar, garlic, chili peppers, and predator urine, which can make an area less appealing. Motion-activated lights and sprinklers also unsettle them, as foxes prefer to avoid sudden movements and bright lights. Additionally, they are wary of loud noises and unexpected sounds.

Once the animals and their young are out of the house, remove the nest and locate any entry points. Some may be difficult to find because some animals can fit through very small holes. Once you’ve located as many entry points as possible, use materials such as metal or masonry to block off the entry. Ideally, you should choose materials that most animals cannot chew through. Create a one-way door or flap to allow animals to leave but not return. Additional methods include using repellants designed to make an area unappealing to the types of animals that find your home so inviting.
