"He's a really friendly guy, very responsive to my calls, schedules me in partly because we've had a working relationship for like six years. He's done work at the house that I live in. He replaced a furnace there and the air conditioner. The day before the warranty of the air conditioner that he had installed ran out, he installed a new one and it didn't work either. He went to the local manufacturer's distribution and got a third one and it didn't work either so he went and got me a brand new upgraded unit and a discount for all the inconvenience. He's a good guy and I have no complaints whatsoever. Sometimes, some of the worker bees that he sends when he is on a job and somebody has to come and check something, they come right away but they are not necessarily as diligent as he is."

"This is the second time I've used them. They were very courteous, professional, and polite. I gave them the order and the job was finished on time in about 6 weeks. They have excellent service and very good follow up. They even stayed and did extra work they weren't anticipating and they didn't complain. I would highly recommend them. I also highly recommend the quality of their triple pane windows. Our home is much quieter."

Mr. Donohue seems to be very  knowledgeable in this field. They come out to give your a free estimate. He explains the process before he starts. Once on the job his team worked  tirelessly until the job was complete.

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible with basic tools. Professional audits provide comprehensive assessments and tailored recommendations.

Window AC units use a fair amount of electricity, but significantly less than central AC systems. Because they are more energy-efficient for cooling individual rooms or small spaces, their usage is comparatively low. On average, a window AC unit consumes between 500 and 1,400 watts, while a central AC system uses over 3,500 watts—meaning a window unit uses about one-third of the energy. This typically translates to a monthly running cost of $15 to $40, although this can vary depending on external factors.

Attic and whole-house fans improve a home's energy efficiency and comfort. They ventilate hot air from the attic, which reduces peak cooling loads, lowers reliance on air conditioning, and decreases indoor temperatures. This improved air circulation and expedited heat exit helps lower cooling costs, balance moisture levels, and enhance overall natural airflow, contributing to the efficient operation of other home equipment.

It’s not recommended to turn off your breaker box in hopes of saving electricity. Breaker boxes were not designed to constantly be switched on and off. Therefore, turning off breakers unnecessarily can cause costly damage that outnumbers any energy savings. Only flip your breakers if absolutely necessary when troubleshooting an electrical issue.

The extra insulation helps reduce energy costs by minimizing drafts and temperature exchange between indoors and outdoors.
