"I highly recommend Nick! I was just looking to get my floor done and ended up upgrading my bathrooms and kitchen because the quality of finished product all the way down to the customer service was everything I wanted. Thank you so much! If I had anymore space to tile I would call them back!"

"Overall, Rebath people are pleasant to work with. Brendan was a top notch craftsman, 'BJ' in office stayed in touch as work progressed. there were some problems with ordering product, receiving wrong product, miscommunication in scheduling, which delayed completion of job beyond our expectations. However job was completed to our satisfaction at last, and quality of product and of work are good.

"We bought a house recently. The inspection report called for installation of an expansion tank and lengthened drip leg on the HW heater. Jamison Plumbing had installed the new HW tank several months before for the original home owner. Jason called the City of Liberty to determine the exact code requirements. He called back and agreed to the additional work at no charge. He was able to make the changes in a timely manner. His crew called to say they would be later than planned because of an unexpected delay at the preceding job site. We appreciated his willingness to finish the installation according to code and to cover the additional materials and time. It was a great way to be welcomed into a new community.

"Riley flooring went above and beyond when installing new carpet in our newly purchased house. Not only did they show me samples and come measure my house for an accurate quote, they had it installed in a day and with my tight timeframe. I will have them do the flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms along with the carpet in my basement. 100% satisfied customer here!!!"

"Don't let the tattoos and the beards fool you, these guys know what they are doing. They are two of the nicest, well mannered guys I have ever had work on my house. They did everything we asked and everything they said they would do in a timely manner. We are actually going to use them to re-tile our hall bath and our foyer."

"Excellent craftsmanship and Isiah worked in a timely and efficient manner. Also good communication about scope of the project. Isiah picked up all supplies except tiles. (I purchased those in advance myself.), provided receipts, and left me with overage supplies which I appreciate. One of the most important aspects is Isiah is a non smoker. That was important to me as I donâ t like cigarette smoke anywhere near my home. I wish I could post photos and videos but I donâ t see a way to do that."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Regardless of the material, basic square tiles will never go out of style. Neutral colors like white, grey, beige, and black will always be in demand in residential and commercial settings. Certain designs, like herringbone and hexagonal patterns, are considered timeless. Porcelain and porcelain-like tiles will also never go out of style.

Yes, it would be best if you waterproofed your shower walls before tiling. The cement backing board behind the tile is not waterproof; it’s only water-resistant. On top of your tile backing board, be sure to use a waterproof shower membrane before you start installing your shower tiles.

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.

Yes, tile floor removal is a physically demanding project that takes between eight and 12 hours per 100 square feet. It also requires protective gear and closing the area off with construction-grade plastic sheeting to avoid dust and damage to other parts of your home.

Mortar and thinset both serve the same purpose—tile adhesion—but have different compositions and use-cases. Thinset is heatproof and presents a wide range of possibilities due to the added polymers. Mortar is typically used for bonding stones and brick. Thinset is rarely used outside, while mortar is rarely used inside.
