- Backyard DreamsI purchased a swimming pool from this company and paid half of the total price in a deposit of $4800 using my credit card. They strongly encourage you to use pay with a check and charge a 3 percent transaction fee for a credit card. After reading all of their negative reviews and BBB complaints, I felt that it was worth 3 percent to have the peace of mind that a credit card allows. At no time and no where on my receipt did it say I could not cancel and get a FULL refund. A week later they called me & told me that the pool I paid the deposit for was not available and they didn't know if it ever would be. They also wanted to have me switch to a different pool that was "significantly more expense at no extra cost to me" but couldn't provide me with any details of the pool so that I could check to see if it was legitimate. I requested a refund of my deposit because they could not provide what they had sold me. When I went in to pick up the receipt for the refund, I was informed that I would be charged a $144 transaction fee because I used my credit card. I refused and came home and called my credit card company and they advised that there is no transaction fee when a refund is issued. There are very limited options locally for pool companies, but PLEASE read the reviews on Yelp and elsewhere and the BBB complaints before you give these people any business, most read the same as mine

- Meramec HardscapesMeramec Hardscapes just put in a concrete slab for me. From start to finish they went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Their bid on the job was very reasonable, the contract delivery was prompt, and they were quick to start the project. Brian the site Forman was polite, personable, and offered his experience to perfect the placement and orientation of the slab to work best with the grading in my yard. Their team worked hard and fast to finish the job in just over a day. This was impressive considering the size and thickness of the slab. Their care to not damage my lawn has saved me hour of work. They made it easy for my neighbors as well. I had one comment to me about how considerate they were with the placement of their trucks and equipment. I can tell you that if I or my family need concrete work in the future Meramec Hardscapes will be my first call
- AquaDog PoolsOur new pool is gorgeous. We completely renovated our existing pool by changing the pool tile around the top, resurfacing the bottom, and added a sun shelf, bubblers, magic bowls, and color changing LED lights. Cyndi and Corey worked with us to talk through our ideas and make them a reality. The staff at Aquadog is very responsive - they always answer and respond to calls, emails, and texts promptly. The timeline took much longer than what we were promised, but once that subcontractor was replaced, things moved along quickly. Overall, we are very satisfied with the quality, professionalism, and end product provided by Aquadog. I recommend them without hesitation

"We had a huge driveway challenge for Meramec Hardscapes and they met the challenge. We had a collapsing driveway due to water flow issues. We live at the bottom of a hill in a subdivision with no storm sewers. They came out and assessed the situation and came up with a solution. They installed a French drain at the top of the driveway and put in curbing around the driveway to direct the flow of water down to a concrete swale at the bottom of the driveway. We have had several hard rains since the completion of the project and it seems to have solved our problem and is working fine. We found the owner, Dan, and his project manager, Matt, to be very accommodating when we had any issues or questions. We would highly recommend this company.

"I was very pleased with the quality of the work, and my pool looks much better now than it did before. However, it took a LONG time to finish the job. I signed the contract in February, and they didn't finish until July. There were some weather delays, but I feel the job should have taken less time. The company was always slow to respond to questions when I called. I would often have to wait several days to a week for the project manager to get back with me. Also I had a concern about fixing an existing leak in my pool before starting the job, in case they had to dig up any pipes. They pressure tested the pipes and said there was no leak. However now that the job is done, the pool is still leaking a half inch per day.
