Fiberglass is the most affordable but least durable, while acrylic is the highest-end and most durable (as long as you don’t go with a poor grade of acrylic, which will be prone to scratches). Enameled steel, where a steel tub is coated in a layer of porcelain, is a wallet-friendly middle ground. This material is highly durable but prone to chips.

Repairing leaks, mold, and cracked tiles will greatly add value to a bathroom remodel; otherwise, potential buyers may ask you to make these repairs. For example, repairing cracked tiles in a bathroom averages $260 to $600.
