"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

The lifespan of a roof patch depends on which materials you use and the severity of the damage. Temporary solutions like tarps or plastic sheets last a few weeks to a few months, while roofing tape or caulk may hold up for a year or two. Permanent patches using roofing cement, flashing, or replacement shingles can last several years as long as they're properly maintained. Regular inspections and touch-ups can extend the patch’s lifespan, but eventually, a full repair or replacement would be needed.

Generally, to install roof flashing, you shouldn't use screws. Rather, it's best to use either roofing cement or nails. For the best results, match your nail type with the flashing materials. If you have aluminum flashing, use aluminum nails, and so on. You can use the same nails for your asphalt shingles and flashing.

There are two main issues with metal roofs: the up-front cost and how noisy they can be when it rains. Metal roofs cost close to twice as much as asphalt roofs per square foot, and although you also get more than double the lifespan and more value from them, the initial cost is higher. Metal roofs can also create noise in your living space when it rains, so some homeowners install acoustic panels or insulation under them to reduce noisiness.

There are advantages and disadvantages to metal roofs in cold climates. Metal roofing stands up extremely well to harsh winters as long as it is properly insulated.
