"Ron, our installer, was absolutely wonderful! He arrived on time, was pleasant, and efficient. Ron worked on New Year's Eve, was close to finishing his job, but could have stretched it into the next day. Rather than leaving us "in the dark," he worked until the job was completed that day. We appreciate all the hard work from Ron! We definitely recommend Reinhold for any of your electric needs!"

"It went great, I was selling my house and some electrical work was needed after the inspector flagged some things and closing date was coming quick. I got a hold of Jeff and he came to the house and said no problem we can take care of it. Very happy with the work that was done."

"Second time I have used All American this year. Both experiences have been great. On-time. Friendly, right to work. Had the piece to replace it with him. Said this was common in an Electrolux oven this age. Nice guy."

Customers say: Quick response

"Tom from Synergy did the bid for under cabinet lighting install, however sent someone else to do the job. Originally discussed with Tom that he would use a regular converter box inside the cabinet and place a dimmer switch on the wall, but the other guy he sent wasn't aware of this and placed the dimmer converter in the cabinet. This has resulted in us having to use the dimmer switch inside the cabinet instead of on a wall switch -- not what I requested. Also, I discussed with Tom installing an additional outlet in our kitchen during the bid process. After he left I noticed he did not include that on the written bid. The guy he sent didn't know about it either. The outlet was installed however. Overall, I was charged $95 additional over the bid and didn't get exactly what I wanted in regard to the dimmer switch for under cabinet lighting. Both electricians were very nice and professional, but there was definitely a communication problem in regard to the installation of the under cabinet lighting. Perhaps I should have clarified the issue more strongly, or perhaps I didn't understand. Either way, I'm happy with the lighting overall, but not 100%."

"I requested an estimate online through Angi and Better Business Bureau and was contacted the same day by Hoffman Brothers. They set up an appointment for a free estimate next business day. Hoffman Brothers contacted me before they came . The electrician arrived on time and listened to what problems I was having. To my surprise he not only diagnosed the short in my system and gave me a reasonable quote, he indicated he could fix it there and then. I gave him the go ahead, and had the parts necessary in his truck. He did a great job quickly on the spot and I didnâ t have to wait for an estimate and set up a later appointment. He even looked at another need I had not in the estimate. I recommend this company highly as they do clean fast work at a reasonable price."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

A wire stripping tool is the easiest way to strip sheathing or plastic insulation from electrical wires. A self-adjusting wire stripper cuts and removes the sheathing without damaging the core wire.

You can test an electric fence with a multimeter, but you’ll need to set the multimeter to the correct voltage measurement—such as alternative current (AC) or direct current (DC) and range—depending on your fence. You can find the voltage type and range in the fence’s user manual.

Yes, if something sparks when you plug it in or turn it on, it's important to unplug it immediately. A spark from an electrical appliance or device could indicate a short circuit, damaged wiring, or other electrical problems that could cause electrical fires or electrical shock. By unplugging the appliance, you can reduce the risk of electrical hazards and prevent damage to the device itself. It's important to avoid using the appliance until it has been inspected and repaired by a licensed professional to ensure that it’s safe to use.

A C-wire connects your thermostat to your household heating and cooling system to provide continuous 24V power. The furnace's transformer converts household electrical current into this low-voltage power to operate the HVAC system's circuitry. In most configurations, the C-wire connects to the terminals labeled "C" on both the furnace's low-voltage terminal block and the thermostat. In some cases, if a dedicated C terminal is unavailable, the C-wire can be connected to the "G" (fan) terminal at the furnace.

For a 200-amp underground service, you need a minimum of #2/0 American Wire Gauge (AWG) copper or #4/0 AWG aluminum or copper-clad wire. Don’t forget that, at minimum, you’ll need to use a 1 1/2-inch schedule 40 or 80 PVC conduit to successfully run a 200-amp underground service.
