"In March----I selected Lockwood based on Angie's List ratings.  Ken Lockwood came out to give estimate.  He is very nice and very professional.  He examined what needed to be done in detail so he could give an accurate bid.  He let me know when he could do the work and then provided an exact schedule later.  His team stripped wallpaper in dining room and master bedroom and painted.  They did an excellent job.  We also asked them to do some touch up work on some baseboard and molding in a few rooms.  This was in the bid.  This part of the job was not as well done as the rest.  When I called this to his attention Ken had a couple people out to fix it and they did a good job then.
In May---we decided to get the wallpaper below the chair rail removed and painted along with the hall bath where it too
required wallpaper removal and painting.  We also had a front door entrance gel stained and clear coated outside only.  They did excellent job but did have to ask them to come back out and fix a little bit of paint cracking around the bathroom wall fixture. Also the bathroom mirror needed to be put back up. When they came back I asked if they put 2 coats of clear coat on the front door.  Rob said he would put another coat on just to be sure.  He also did a little more staining on it.  It really looks good.  All their work was excellent by time I paid.  I would have rated an A instead of B on quality but for fact I did have to ask them to come back out on a few small items.  To their credit they did so quickly and did and were nice to deal with.  I would use them again.  I have referred Lockwood to a friend who used him and they too were very pleased with their work.

"The company is very professional. They have a fabulous colorist who knows her colors! The colors she helped me pick out went great with other colors in our home. Our painter (Carl) arrived every morning promptly @ 7:30am. He was very friendly and comfortable to be around. He knocked out all three rooms, including ceilings and baseboards, in 2 1/2 days. "I own a condominium that had been absolutely trashed by the former tenants. It has been incredibly discouraging (not to mention costly) to get everything fixed and spruced up. Larry, his son, and John were very helpful. They arrived on time and got right to work. They painted the place from top to bottom (literally - including the basement, which had hideous 1970's era brown wood paneling). They also helped with some important drywall repairs and removed stubborn wallpaper from one bathroom. How they got that bathroom to look so good afterward is a mystery to me but you would never know there had been wallpaper there before. The walls are absolutely smooth - no bumps, no rough patches. Gorgeous.  The basement was absolutely transformed by the new bright paint and it will really be a usable rec room now.
Larry and his crew worked incredibly fast and were neat and professional. Before they helped me I hated to go over to the condo to work on repairs because it was so discouraging. Now thanks to the impeccable paint job I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
 I will definitely hire Larry again to help with painting my own house. It was a pleasure to work with him. Do note that he is busy, so you may have to wait a bit to get on his calendar, but I would guess that is because he is much in demand. It is worth the wait.

"We wanted to use the area under the stairs as a storm shelter. Bill took all the measurements for our smaller than average opening. He purchased cut down, and installed the doorjamb, all hardware,and a solid wood door, in a very small area. The door is perfect. We couldn't be happier. 
Our front door entry was where Bill had to get very creative. The door and locks worked perfectly fine, as is. But it looked horrible from the inside. The latch bolts were both visible when the door was closed and the locks were set. The space between the door and the jamb was uneven from the top to the bottom. The door was close at the top and bottom but farther away in the middle, which is why the latch bolts were visible. Bill was able to work with what we had but remove and replace the areas where the space was larger. He also replaced the wood trim around the door since moving the trim on the right of the door changed the spacing for the rest of it. The way he finished the doorjamb makes it appear as all one piece. It's amazing; a very professional job. Bill was very knowledgeable and did excellent work. He made it look easy. We immediately started thinking of other things we need to have done because we will definitely call A Good Guy Remodeling.
