We had recently put in a very large, heavy island with a 6x6 granite top in our kitchen/living area. I was very concerned that the 2x10 joists underneath were enough to support the weight of it as they had not been reinforced. This was especially a concern since this area is located above our garage and in the weak area between the metal beams. We called Everroux Engineering and spoke with Christoper Roux. He came out to the house and evaluated the area. He then calculated the load for the area and determined that we were overstressed. Not badly but it could use some support. He provided us with a very informative report, that was stamped and sealed for a very affordable price. We were then able to work with our contractor to get some more support across the beams. I had some concerns with the way the contractor sistered the joists in so I called Chris that very day and left a message. He returned my call within 5-10 minutes. To my surprise, he said he would stop by and take a look and was at my house in a 1/2 hour. He pointed out some areas that could be that could have been done better. He gave me some ideas on how to strengthen the area even more, but most importantly, he put my mind at ease that the load was fine and that we were in good shape. Chris is a very intelligent and fantastic engineer. His customer service was over the top. We could not be happier with our decision to work with Everroux and would recommend Chris and his company to anyone. Thank you Chris!

After my original Architect strung me along for a couple weeks I called, Everroux Engineering and Chris came out that same day and examined my house and in two days time delivered plans for me to turn into the city.
