"Hired Tim to reposition the kitchen cabinet over my refrigerator so that my new refrigerator will fit in the spot. Tim is a great and hard working guy and he did a great job for me. He came with the required equipment and was able to move the cabinet up an inch, which is what I requested. The end result looks great and now my new refrigerator will fit properly. Tim is an easy guy to work with and I will definitely be calling on Tim to help me with future projects."

"It was apparent they were very skilled. They quickly dropped the huge limbs without a scratch on the house, fence or sheds surrounding the tree. They arrived on time and cleaned the area to my satisfaction before leaving. And they were competetively priced! I can't say enough good things about this company."

Retaining Wall Installers FAQs, answered by experts

If you don’t backfill a retaining wall—either at all or adequately enough—the wall won’t drain well, and water will be able to pass through it. Poor drainage will lead to a warped wall or a buildup of hydrostatic pressure, which can eventually collapse your retaining wall. If you have particularly sloped land, consult a structural engineer to ensure your hardscaping is adding value to your home.

Sand and gravel are two suitable options for filling behind a retaining wall. If you’re building your own retaining wall, you’ll complete this part of the process—known as backfilling—after you finish laying the blocks. Make sure not to skip it—otherwise, you could wind up with drainage issues, which can cause your retaining wall to collapse.

To maintain the integrity of your landscape, a retaining wall must be installed if the slope of the angle exceeds 35 degrees. The lean of the wall must be 1 inch per 12 inches in height to disperse the weight of the soil uniformly and guarantee the correct drainage of the soil.

Costs range from $5,000 to $15,000, depending on size, material, and design complexity.

Options include concrete, stone, brick, and wood, tailored for specific design needs.
