"We attempted to have our unfinished basement finished in 2020. The project started in June of 2020 and was terminated unfinished in January of 2021. Total cost of the partial project was $75,771. Several issues led to the termination of the project. The primary was lack of actual project management and ability to take responsibility for errors by the contractor, which, in addition to being frustrating, contributed to the unnecessarily long project time of 7 months while still not being finished. Examples include: - An I-Beam for a heavy-bag track was to be installed on the ceiling. It was installed in the incorrect location and extremely poorly, to the point where flanges were overlapping. When confronted, the contractor stated that it just "wasn't finished". However, the correction required the complete removal and re-installation. Then the contractor claimed the issue was due to insufficient instruction supplied, even though all required information was in fact supplied. The installation crew was simply not competent and failed to install as instructed. - Wood panels were put on a large portion of the ceiling. Several conversations in writing instructed that there was to be no more work done after the initial paint as we liked the look as is. When painters were on-site for the walls, it was confirmed with them verbally that the ceiling was complete and not to perform work on them. However, they caulked and painted it anyway. When confronted, the contractor stated it was always known that this work was to be done. He also said it was only painted and not caulked, which was clearly not the case. Additionally, when shown texts and emails where we explicitly requested no more work done to the ceiling and that he also stated it was complete, he simply ignored it. - When ordering a vanity, he sent us to a shop to select one. However, when it came time to need the vanity, we found it had never actually been ordered. The contractor blamed us for not ordering it while at the shop, however the person at the shop later confirmed the hold up was the contractor not confirming the order. These are some of the biggest examples, but there were communication issues throughout the project. The termination of the contact didn't go any better than the rest of the project. We were told up front, in writing, that we would be billed for all services each week for the prior week. However, when we were settling up after the contract was terminated, there were many costs he was back charging for, meaning they were not billed during the week of work as the original contract stated. One of the items had no reciept. One of the bigger issues here was the painting. The painting cost was much too high relative to the original bid price based on actual work performed. When asked for an itemized bill for painting, it included painting work that had not been performed. The contractor ultimately removed the item for which he didn't have a receipt and reduced the paint cost by some amount. It was still not correct, but we agreed to pay to end the situation."

There was a problem with flooring issue during the job and he fixed it for me. Just today, I had an issue with my doors sticking and he came to fix it. He is a stand up guy for sure. "I had a Patio Cover installed by Tim Broughton and his crew back in September 2023. When I was getting estimates I had submitted inquiries through several Patio Cover Manufacturers on-line who in turn notified local installers who contacted me to provide estimates. As these local installers contacted me I did my due diligence and looked at reviews. I decided not to use Suburbia because I had read some poor reviews on the internet. His wife continued calling me to try to schedule a bid and I finally told her I had read some poor reviews. She explained to me that the bad reviews were for a hardscaping company that they had initially worked with and that they were no longer associated with that company. I decided to go ahead and let them give me a bid because the patio cover they were installing was precisely the one I really wanted. Mr Broughton came over within a couple of days, explained everything thoroughly, gave me a decent bid, and was likable. I decided to go with him and his company. He returned with the contract, I gave him a deposit and everything was in motion. The product arrived early and was delivered by a different company and Suburbia started the work early. The work was performed in a timely manner and about two weeks earlier than expected and that is where the professionalism ended. On the day of the install, a Monday, I questioned him about the permits. He told me he hadnâ  t had time to get over there since they started earlier than expected and that he was going to take care of it at the end of the day. Hindsight is 20/20. I should have put a stop to the work immediately but I didnâ  t. The next day they returned and started working again. I asked him about the permit. He said he dropped the paperwork off the day before and would return at lunch to get the permit. Meanwhile, one of the crossbeams was damaged during shipping so they had to order a new one. They completed the cover on the second day, except for the side crossbeam, and said they would return when that came in and finish the job. He asked for the remainder of the money except for approximately 10-15% to be paid when everything was finished. I again questioned him about the permit. He was apologetic, he was so busy he hadnâ  t had time to get back up to the city to pick them up, blah blah blah. When he returned to finish the cover he would have all the paperwork in order. Fast forward about Six weeks. The new crossbeam comes in, he schedules a day to come install it. They arrived early in the morning and had it completed within an hour. He asked for final payment and I asked for the permits. He said he would go get them and return in the afternoon. I told him I would mail a check because I didnâ  t currently have access to my checkbook. He never returned with the permit because he never took care of getting the permit. The work was performed unlawfully and in breach of the contract. It was the companyâ  s responsibility to obtain proper work permits from the city prior to performing the work in accordance with the signed contract and in accordance with the municipality ordinance. Mr. Broughton knowingly and willfully did not get the permits and he knowingly and willfully lied to me on several occasions about the status of the work permits. Mr. Broughton will not respond to my telephone calls or my emails regarding this issue. Now it will be my responsibility to obtain the permits and to also pay the fine for not applying for the permits prior to starting the work. In addition to the breach of contract, the gutters leak. I have told him about this issue and he said he would fix it but he still has not fixed the leaky gutters or responded to my request for the permit and final paperwork. I have been more than patient giving him over six months to make things right and he has not made any effort to do so."

He and his team pressure-washed and sealed our large brick patio and front walk, as well as the pressed concrete driveway, and ground and filled the cracks. He provided a detailed proposal, not just a price. He personally followed through on the whole project and texted us what time they would be here each day. We appreciated that he used a high-quality sealant and rolled on a thick coat instead of a thin spray of cheaper product as others often do. We are confident that this work will protect for more years than the previous one did. We definitely recommend Bob's team for quality work at a fair price, and a good experience."

"I hired him to re-build our deck, this was a forty two thousand dollar deck. He mostly completed the job, but the inspector failed it due to the railing not being compliant on the stairs. He kept promising to get it resolved, but nothing was ever done. So I have a really expensive deck that never passed inspection, he has not made any attempt to resolve the issue. Now the fasica boards are buckling and pulling away from the deck, and he is not responding to that either. The railings were not installed per the instructions and droop in several places, I had to fix a few spots that were looking terrible. The railings were not even close to correct on the stairs. I would avoid this company, but if you do use them, ensure absolutely everything is done, permits finalized prior to making final payment."

"We, a HOA, did a competition to fix multiple locations our 20 year old white vinyl fence. The Easter attention to detail and price were fantastic and their price was far cheaper than their competition and our prior contractor. Although it took a few months for the repairs, it was still quicker than our prior contractor. A prior fence company had replaced posts higher than adjacent posts plus some lean a little. Easter repaired 12 different locations. All the posts were the same height as adjacent posts plus didn't lean. I know where all the repairs were completed. However, I could not distinguish between the old and repaired sections, except where one rail, which didn't need replacing, still had a small smudge from the dirty snow where it had been laying."
