"We hired Hoffman Concrete based on a recommendation from the "Handyman STL" Facebook group to seal our new concrete driveway, walkways, and porches. We sought out multiple bids -- the first used a less-than-ideal type of sealant that completely alters the appearance of the concrete, a second bid used big-box hardware store off-the-shelf sealant, the third bid used a quality sealer (but was twice the price of Hoffman). That leaves me with Hoffman. They use an industrial-grade penetrating silicone/siloxane concrete sealant that has been used on highways in neighboring states. Given their reasonable price point, it certainly made the most sense. Communication came via direct text message with one of their office staff using one of their personal cell phones (as opposed to the typical game of finding the right person to talk to at an office). This made scheduling and payment incredibly easy. A quality job at a reasonable price. Can't ask for more!"

"“Exceptional!” This word summarizes the job that Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt did from the very beginning to the very end of our driveway project. They were extremely professional, responsive and their work was of the highest quality. We had 2,100 feet (0.4 miles) of driveway installed that was ten feet wide. They sloped all of the ditches, graded and built up the driveway where necessary and then installed the new gravel driveway. Some other companies I had gotten bids from were going to just dump gravel, spread it, drive over it a few times and leave - at close to or even slightly higher cost than the exceptional work done by Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt. Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt brought in more rock and using a fifteen ton paver, compacted the gravel. They then used a 5000 pound roller to smooth all parts of the driveway. The project took the majority of four days and when the project was complete, they cleaned up everything, made sure there were no imperfections and then rolled out the entire driveway once again. I will not call anyone else in the future other than Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt for paving or driveway maintenance needs. I highly recommend that you call Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt also."

"Allen Outdoor installed and maintains my irrigation system (since 2003). They also did some landscape for me. The technicians and installers have all (without exception) been professional, accommodating and courteous. They fix things right the first time, explain the work well and deliver when and what they promise. "Exceptional service. Tom and his team exceeded our expectations in every possible way during the landscaping process. My wife and I wanted our largest retaining wall rebuilt as it had begun to lean excessively creating an unsightly and unsafe area in our backyard. We met Tom last year to discuss the project and he was easily able to answer all of our questions and offer some suggestions. The proposal was delivered to us in a timely manner and Tom started the project a week earlier than expected. The team working on the retaining wall were impressive. This was a complex wall to rebuild. When the wall was originally built, we learned it didn’t have any 3/4” crushed stone along most of the wall or geogrid in most places. Tom and his team made it look easy. They showed up each day early and on-time. The guys were very friendly and accommodating. In fact, Tom was onsite every day to drop off supplies or ensure everything was progressing as planned. During the entire project, all of the landscape rock, dirt, and material was always delivered on time and the right amount. There were no delays other than a brief rainstorm. Since I was working from home during the construction, I was able to monitor the progress. I felt they really took pride in their work. Yea it’s a retaining wall, but a big one and it was engineered perfectly. It has really made a difference to our landscape. We gained 5+ feet of additional space along the length of the wall too. In addition, we wanted our existing steps down to the backyard replaced as they were built incorrectly. The original spacing was too narrow for anyone to walk down without tripping. We decided on a natural stone step and used a grey limestone. This was a perfect choice. The steps look amazing! Plus, we no longer trip. In summary, I thought this landscape company was a great find and a hidden gem in St Louis. We are so happy with our new backyard and would recommend Tom and his team to anyone!"
